What was the cause of Roderick’s death?
During an interaction with TMZ, Hi-Five member Marcus Sanders stated that Roderick was admitted to a hospital in Waco, TX. The musician died due to some complications from an infection and had also developed pneumonia over the last 2 weeks so he was constantly in and out of the hospital till the day of his death.
Sanders also told the media outlet that Roderick had a bad car accident nearly 30 years ago in Florida that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Because of the fatal accident, he was unable to walk. The infection spread through his body and it persisted for some time.
Roderick was one of the founding members of the Hi-Five band which was created in the year 1989. He passed away on April 17, 2022. The group is best known for their hit songs including I Like the Way (The Kissing Game) and She’s Playing Hard to Get. Along with Clark, the group included Marcus Sanders, Tony Thompson, Russell Neal, and Toriano Easley.

Another member of the band 90s R&B band Hi-Five Marcus Sanders also shared the news of Roderick’s death on Facebook with a photo and a video of the star. “Roderick ‘Pooh’ Clark Feb 27, 1973- April 17, 2022, Rest In Peace My Brother,” he wrote.
The band’s former manager, Jonathan Kinloch, wrote on Facebook, “We were blessed and had a great time as a family. A huge part of what made it fun was because of Roderick ‘Pooh’ Clark. He was the serious member, who made sure that the guys together worked hard. But also, we’re going to have a fun time as teenagers!”
