Richard tweeted, “Our beloved son Henry passed away. He had the softest blue eyes, an easy smile and a contagious giggle. We always surrounded him with love and he returned it, and so much more. Mary and Richard.”
In a separate tweet, Richard went on to say, “Researchers are making amazing progress using Henry’s cells to help cure RETT Syndrome so others don’t have to endure this terrible disease.”
Richard also added a link to Texas Children’s Hospital, which is fundraising for the cause. As per the fundraiser page, Richard’s son Henry left for the heavenly abode on August 9, 2022.

This year, Richard shared a rare health update about his son Henry’s health condition and he stated that his son’s health had taken a turn for the worse after developing dystonia. As per Mayo Clinic, it is “a movement disorder in which your muscles contract involuntarily, causing repetitive or twisting movements.”
At that point, the journalist talked about his son Henry’s health and said, “He was in the hospital for 6 weeks, but is now home and getting love from brother Theo.” Richard first talked about his son Henry’s diagnosis in the year 2017.
