On November 17, 2022, Thursday, the hip-hop singer’s elder brother Denzil took to Instagram and shared the heartbreaking news of the musician’s passing away. He posted a video on the social media platform Instagram.
Denzil started by writing, “Hello I’m Denzil #BSmyth brother and today regretfully I have to announce that my brother has passed away this morning from respiratory failure after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.”
He went on to say, “My brother was very excited to see a lot of you create challenges for his latest released single #Twerkoholic part 2 while he was in the ICU, it really brought him a big smile to his face.”
Denzil concluded by saying, “So on behalf of my brother and my family we want to say thank you to all of you for all of your love & support throughout the years. We ask for privacy during these difficult times.”
In the video posted by Denzil, he talked about his brother B. Smyth and stated how he loved his fans and he revealed that his brother had been watching the videos of the dance challenges for his latest released single Twerkaholic, Pt.2 nearly three weeks ago while he was in the intensive care unit at the hospital. He said that those videos made by the fans made his brother happy.
