8 Diwali Decorations to get on Amazon for your Party
I remember throwing Diwali parties and having to get creative with decorations. It’s not like I could roll up to Party City and have the essential party goods for this Hindu festival at my fingertips. I’d usually have to make do with Christmas decorations and candles, which doesn’t really sound creative at all.
Now I don’t have to make handmade decorations or use tired ole Christmas ones because my Amazon membership allows me to choose from an array of some colorful Diwali decor. No, I’m not getting any money for marketing these products. I think it’s cool that in 2017 I, too, can partake in commercialization like my Christian and Jewish friends do for Christmas and Hannakah, respectively.
My favorite Diwali Party Goods from Amazon
Bring on the wonderfully blingy, sometimes random, goods! And remember, you only have less than 2 weeks to order and receive your decorations before Diwali, which falls on October 19 this year, so get yours!
1. Rangoli floor decorations
This is a contemporary take on traditional rangoli. Rather than having to spend a good chunk of time using powders or stencils to make intricate rangoli designs, you can use these stickable beauties and have your house poppin’ with Diwali swag in no time! They can be used both indoors and outdoors. This product isn’t for one-time use. You can use it for Diwalis to come.
2. Cookie stencils
These stencils can be used to make designs on 3″ cookie or larger. Woowee! Could you imagine having guests over for your party and serving Diwali cookies? Hella tight! The uses are not resigned to baked goods alone. These are great for paint or other art projects as well.
This banner is the perfect addition to your party and reminds people what the hell you’re celebrating.
Diwali balloons up the festiveness, particularly if your party has kid attendees.
5. Cupcake Toppers
Who says you have to serve traditional mithai at your Diwali party? Buy or make cupcakes and stick these toppers in for a contemporary twist on Diwali sweets.
These decals are the right amount of kitschy and give your party that I’m so cool I can afford to be campy feel.
These tablecloths come in multiple colors and designs all with a Happy Diwali sprawled across. I remember visiting my Christian friends’ houses during Christmas season, so jelly with the tablecloths in their kitchen spreading holiday joy, usually with Santa or Christmas trees. These tablecloths are the Diwali equivalent, with patterns and designs of diyas, firecrackers, and light. Some truly “lit” stuff here!
You can’t have a Diwali party without beautifully colorful diyas! Line these up and celebrate the season with vibrancy.
Amazon has a lot of other cool Diwali products in their marketplace. While you’re perusing the site for Diwali, be sure to check out our recommended Diwali books for children you can buy on Amazon as well.
