As ABC News’ workplace review of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s affair continues to gain momentum, people wonder if ABC will fire the two news anchors. A close source from the network has come forward and shed light on this issue. Read on to know what does the future of “GMA3: What You Need To Know” looks like.
Is ABC Firing T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach?
No matter the number of controversies, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ relationship has only grown stronger. Now, the question remains whether the pair will return to their on-air roles on ABC or not. On this, a close source came forward and revealed that the co-anchors “have not been terminated” from the news program.
The source also revealed: “there are no negotiations about their future. ABC is completing their investigation.” The source continues, “While it is unlikely they will return in the capacity they were in — the longer time goes on, it becomes less likely they will return — there are still open lines of communication and further discussions are being had about what will happen.”
If you aren’t aware, earlier this week, another source came forward and stated that there is no ground to fire the two and the couple’s relationship has only grown stronger despite the investigation. “They’re just going along and doing their thing,” the second source revealed about the co-anchors, who were taken off the air on Dec. 5.
“There are no grounds to fire them on and they believe they won’t be fired,” the second source noted about the pair’s future at ABC. “The network is just waiting for things to cool down. This happens at companies all the time.”
Apart from this controversy, T.J. Holmes is also accused of having sex with a 24-year-old intern in his office, while he was married to his now now-estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig. He recently filed for divorce amid his affair with co-host Amy Robach.
