Famous American TV personality and record producer, Stevie J has filed for divorce with singer and songwriter Faith Evans on Monday, 8th Nov.
They married in Las Vegas by taking their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony in their hotel room in 2018. Now after three years of staying together, it seems like their love story is coming to an end.
The grammy award winner and former Hip Hop Atlanta star moved swiftly to Los Angeles County Superior Court and filed documents for divorce. The duo has not addressed the divorce filing publicly.
Stevie J to Separate from Faith Evans After Three Years of Togetherness
The world witnessed the glance of a potential romance between the couple when they appeared on Love & Hip Hop together and Stevie was trying to woo her. However, after some time they both got back together.
Stevie and Faith have no kids in their three years of marriage. There were rumors floating around in media during their first marriage anniversary that the couple is having their shares of troubles and Faith was arrested by LA police in 2020 for domestic violence after Stevie filed a complaint that she attacked him.
The couple had been fighting verbally that later turned physical. Police officers who reached the scene noticed that Stevie had marks of injury on his body.
Post the incident, Stevie in an exclusive statement given to a news publication said, “That’s my wife and I love her! I’m not going anywhere!”. However, a month later, Stevie J declined to testify so the charges levied on Faith were dismissed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the case was dismissed.
Faith was pretending that their relationship was absolutely fine going by the photo posted on social media platform Instagram recently with a caption as, “Happy & blessed birthday Mr. J! Hurry up, so we can turn up!”.

Evans was married to music exec Todd Russaw in 1997 and filed for divorce in 2011 even though they were separated since December 2005.
Stevie J has a daughter with his ex-girlfriend Joseline Hernadez and they have been fighting the case in court for many years. This will be the second divorce for Faith and the first for Stevie.
