Meet Congressman Madison Cawthorn as he Defends his Lingerie Pictures

A goofy vacation took the best of the 26-year old U.S. representative Madison Cawthorn. The Congressman was seen wearing women’s lingerie in a public setting. While the young politician calls it a goofy vacation, GOP colleagues are accusing him of orgies and drug use. Let’s get to know more about him.

Who is Madison Cawthorn?

Madison Cawthorn was born in Asheville, North Carolina and was home-schooled by his parents through 12th grade. He played football with the Ashville Saints, a league involving home-schooled high school students. He also worked at a Chick-fil-A restaurant during his teenage.

Cawthorn’s disability

Cawthorn was seriously injured in 2014 while returning from a spring-break trip to Florida. He was riding as a passenger in a BMW X3 Suv near Daytona Beach when his friend fell asleep on the wheel. Madison was left paralysed from the waist.

Controversy erupted when Cawthorn alleged to his own friend Bradley Ledford that he left him “to die in a fiery tomb” while in 2021, Ledford publicly disputed this saying that he was the one who pulled him and saved his life and he had no memory from the accident.

Madison Cawthorn’s Career

Madison studied political science at Patrick Henry College during the fall 2016 semester. However, he earned D grades and dropped out. He stated that his low grades were due to the injuries that he suffered during the accident. Cawthorn also stated that he dropped out because of heartbreak as his fiancee broke up with him.

Cawthorn was rejected from the United States Naval Academy way before his accident in 2014. However, he claimed in an election campaign advert that he was rejected based on his injuries from the car accident. Later, he admitted it in a lawsuit deposition.

From 2015 to 2016, Cawthorn worked as a staff assistant in Representative Mark Meadow’s district office. He once lied about having a “full-time” role in the office. It came out that he served on a “part-time” basis.

In the March 2020 Republican primary for North Carolina’s 11th congressional district, Cawthorn finished second behind Lynda Bennett. She was endorsed by both Donald Trump and his mentor Meadows. On the other hand, Bennett did not receive desired votes even after local support.

Cawthorn benefited from false and misleading claims that Bennett was a “Never-Trumper”. He is the youngest Republican and one of the youngest members ever elected to the House of Representatives. Madison wants to be the face of the Republican Party when it comes to health care.

In February 2022, On February 28, 2022, after new maps were approved in North Carolina, Cawthorn filed to run again in the 11th District. He generated controversy in 2017 after posting an Instagram picture of his visit to Eagle Nest and he referred to Hitler as “the Fuhrer”.

Previous Controversies

In 2020, he faced criticism and allegations of far-right sympathies. However, he shut down the allegations by saying that he completely and whole-heartedly denounce white nationalism or any kind of Nazism. Well, it was election time and such words are necessary when it comes to winning an election, eh.

Besides this, several women came forward during the 2020 election campaign and accused Madison of sexual misconduct. Last month, Cawthorn’s license was revoked while speeding tickets were pending. He presently resides in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Cawthorn’s SPQR Firm

Cawthorn is also the owner of SPQR Holdings, LLC, a real estate investment firm in Hendersonville. The firm was initiated in August 2019 and reported no income. Cawthorn remains its sole employee. He uses the initialism SPQR to depict the symbol of the Roman Emire that says Senatus Populusque Romanus (“The Roman Senate and People”).

FYI, SPQR is embraced by skinhead Italian gangs and some white nationalists in the United States, but the Anti-Defamation League does not include SPQR in its hate symbol database. The organization is owned by Mark Pitcavage who says that it is used “just as much or more often by non-extremists than extremists”.

Oops! The dress-code

David Madison Cawthorn rocked the status quo in Washington D.C. after becoming the youngest Republican to ever be elected to the United States Congress. The rising star is known for defying every false attack and smear campaign.

Cawthorn in order more bills in the U.S. Hosue than any other freshman member of the Congress which has solidified his position. He helped lead the charge to protect election integrity in the 2020 Presidential elections. However, the ardent defender of President Trump could not defend his integrity in a recent incident.

The “Trump 2.0” labelled politician is being disdained by GOP colleagues for his recent photos in women’s lingerie. However, the Conservative North Carolina Rep who calls Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “thug,” has now accused the GOP of inviting him to a party showcasing orgies and drugs.

Madison stated that these pictures were taken during a cruise game. He tweeted yesterday, “I guess the left thinks goofy vacation photos during a game on a cruise (taken before I ran for Congress) is going to somehow hurt me?” “They’re running out of things to throw at me.” Here’s how people are reacting:

Madison clarified the situation by linking a Cruise Critic Article and stated that it has the same “Quest” logo in the background and describes a “bawdy” adult scavenger-hunt game played on Royal Caribbean cruises that often led to “barely controlled chaos. The article also narrates a similar situation wherein a man ended up wearing a bra during a game.

“POLITICO” that obtained these photos reported that “Cawthorn, 26, was raised in a conservative Baptist community in Henderson County, North Carolina, and has staked his political persona on arch-traditional Christian principles and the insistence of the importance of a kind of hypermasculinity.”

Cawthorn also claimed that he was invited to an orgy in DC and spoke about “the sexual perversion that goes in Washington.” While he continues to defend himself, it’s hard to buy Madison’s story who looks high and indulged in the act. What do you suggest?
