Fashion and booze, now there’s a combination you can never have too much of. Luckily, India’s leading fashion designer Manish Malhotra has teamed up with Chandon India, a leading sparkling wine brand.

In this special Manish Malhotra Limited Edition, he has designed two bottles for Chandon Brut. With such an iconic designer on their side, the bottles are sure to ooze glamor and sparkle. His designs have been inspired by the Gardens of Versailles as well as the intricate details of embroidery reminiscent of Indian garments like saris and sherwanis.

The limited edition bottles are donned with luxurious gold motifs over a midnight sky background with pink and rose-gold-stemmed florals draping the bottle. I’m already picturing how much of a luxurious escape the bottle will provide, let alone the actual delicious drink itself.

“I have created two distinct designs for the bottles—one depicting the details on a Sherwani and the other celebrating the Sari. In keeping with Chandon’s French legacy, my inspiration was marrying French culture with Indian by integrating gardens of Versailles and Indian architecture,” Malhotra told ANI in an email interview.

This collaboration is a first for both brands. Malhotra has built a name for himself in the fashion industry by working in costume design in films and moving on to mainstream fashion. He is a self-made man with an eye for beauty. It’s no surprise then that he paired up with Moet & Chandon, the world’s leading Champagne house since 1743.

The company began exploring the world to create world-class sparkling wines outside of the Champagne region in the 1950s. They went on to develop estates in Argentina, Brazil, Australia and even California, USA. In 2013, Chandon came to India’s region of Nashik to produce premium quality sparkling wine. Chandon India offers three variants, Brut, Rose and Delice.
