Hold that thought because it is about to get as exciting as it could ever get. Disney has made the D23 Expo official for the year 2022 and at least we are sure that it’s happening!
The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, as the company likes to call it is coming home y’all. The D23 Expo 20022 is offering quite a “looootttt”. I am sure you will be amazed once you discover everything.
Since there is a lot that we have to go through, how does the idea of going through it one after the other sound?
D23 Expo 2022 – What Can You Expect?
For starters, more than 50 shows!!!
In addition to the shows, panels, presentations, and Disney Legends Awards Ceremony.
The awards ceremony will feature and honor the individuals who are a proud part of the Disney family.
Moreover, there will be an all-new exhibit remarking the 100th Anniversary of Disney to be hosted by Walt Disney.

“While we know the “ultimate” experience is being at #D23Expo in person, there are many Disney fans who can’t make it to the event.”
This year, we will livestream more panels and presentations than ever before! We will be announcing the full #D23Expo livestream schedule in the weeks leading up to the big event!” the Twitter account reads. “As we announced at #DestinationD23, this year, the @TWDCArchives exhibit at #D23Expo will be a celebration of the upcoming 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company, and we’ll share more details about it in the near future. #Disney100”, it further read.
Date and Venue
The event will take place in its actual home, the Anaheim Convention Center.
D23 Expo will take place from September 9th to September 10th, 2022.

Okay, buckle up. The tickets for the Expo are about to go on sale.
Starting from January 19th, 2022 right from 10 AM PST, the tickets are likely to go on sale. This is exclusive to Visa holders of D23 members who are a part of the Disney fan club.
The very next day i.e. January 20th, 2022 at 12 PM PST, others can get their hands on the ticket. By that I mean, people who aren’t members of the D23 can avail the tickets.
However, one thing to keep in mind is, you need to be a D23 registered member. You can buy these sale tickets if you are a General Level member or Gold Level member.
Moreover, Disney is also bringing a “Preferred Seating Pricing” option for those who are ”Gold” members.
This will let you get tickets for all three days along with seats of Hall 23 panels.
Sounds amazing, isn’t it?
Well, you might need to make a hole in your pocket. Be ready to pay as much as $899 also to book that ticket.

- A One-day ticket for Adults costs $89 whereas for Kids aged 3 – 12 it is $79.
- A Three-day ticket for Adults costs $229 whereas for Kids aged 3 – 12 it is $209.
2. D23 General Member Pricing
- A One-day ticket for Adults costs $99 whereas for Kids aged 3 – 12 it is $79.
- A Three-day ticket for Adults costs $279 whereas for Kids aged 3 – 12 it is $209.
3. Hall D23 Preferred Seating Pricing
This ticket is limited. You get a Three-day ticket at $899.
Also, it is exclusive to D23 Gold Members only.

D23 Expo – What’s In-Store?
Remember D23 Expo in 2019? The stage set highlighted all of the major series that were about to make it to the platform in the same year.
Some of the series were Mrs. Maisel, She-Hulk, and so on.
Disney has also revealed that the “Mousequerade costume contest” will be held again. The host will be Nina West.
The contest will feature Ally Maki (Toy Story 4, Home Sweet Home Alone), Yvette Nicole Brown (Big Shot, Disenchanted), and Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano and creator of Her Universe).
There is certainly a lot of categories that we are expecting to see. Some of them include, Cast of Characters, Off the Screen, Imagine That, and Magical Mashups.
It gets better.
There will also be a fan-favorite award along with a “Best in Show” feature which will offer prize money of $2300.

Instead of being led by others like presentation speaks and panel members, we can expect Pixar, Star Wards, and Marvel to all be under the safe roof.

D23’s 2019 event was fun and why won’t that be? After all, it was the first time everyone figured out Ewan McGregor’s presence in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
Raya and The Last Dragon, released in theatres in 2021 was also announced during the D23 2019 Expo where we caught a glimpse of the movie for the first time.
Disney Expo 2022 will pay its tribute to the past and the future members of the company. Ming-Na Wen, Robert Downey Jr., and Jon Favreau are going to be the honorees of the event.
