Team Coco, a podcast network and digital media business was launched by the famous American television host, comedian, and actor Conan O’Brien.

Career Highlights

Post completion of his studies at Harvard University, O’Brien relocated to Los Angeles to work with HBO’s sketch comedy series “Not Necessarily the News”. He then joined the famous late-night talk show Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 1988 as a writer. During his stint with SNL for three years, he wrote sketches like “Mr. Short-Term Memory” and “The Girl Watchers”.

O’Brien and his colleagues at SNL received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in 1989. He then worked as writer and producer of “The Simpsons” for three years from 1991 to 1993. He wrote episodes like “Marge vs. the Monorail” and “Homer Goes to College.”

In 1993, “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” was first premiered but the show did not went well in the initial weeks. The show later gained prominence and was viewed by approximately 2.5 million viewers by 2005. The show ended after 15 years on February 20, 2009.

About Team Coco

O’Brien founded a production company called Team Coco more than a decade back. As per the deal signed with TBS, Conan and Team Coco owned the rights to his show. Team Coco clocked revenue of ~$10 million from YouTube alone in 2021 as per the Wall Street Journal.

Team Coco videos were viewed by more than 1 billion times in a year cumulatively across  YouTube and Facebook. It has approximately 17 million followers across social media platforms and averages around 180 million annual podcast downloads.
