Here comes one more awards show for country music lovers. The CMT Music Awards 2022 ceremony is all set to raise its curtains in just a few hours.

The 56th edition of the annual awards ceremony will kick off on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennesee. The awards ceremony will have its exclusive global premiere via CBS this year.

The CMT Music Awards are special in their own way as these are the country music’s only fan-voted awards show. This year also marks the show’s inaugural broadcast on CBS.

CMT Music Awards 2022: Hosts

One of the country music’s biggest nights will be hosted by CMT winner Kelsea Ballerini and actor Anthony Mackie. Ballerini will be hosting the event for the second time.

“I’m thrilled to be returning as host at this year’s CMT Awards with Anthony Mackie,” said Ballerini in a statement.

“This award show is always a special one, as it revolves around the fans and celebrates their favorite artists. This year is especially cool to be a part of as CMT grows into a network spot and expands for even more fans to get involved. It’s going to be a big one and I can’t wait!”

CMT Music Awards 2022: Performers

The lineup of performers set to entertain the music lovers includes Jason Aldean with pop-rock icon Bryan Adams, Jimmie Allen with R&B singer Monica and Little Big Town, and Thomas Rhett with Riley Green.

Other performers include co-host Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Walker Hayes, Mickey Guyton + Black Pumas, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Maren Morris + Ryan Hurd, Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, Cole Swindell + Lainey Wilson, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban.

The Judds will also treat the audience with their first televised performance in over 2 decades by performing “Love Can Build a Bridge”.

Speaking about their genre-crossing performance line-up, CMT Music Awards producer Margaret Comeaux said, “Everyone is welcome to our party and we expect that our performances and the people they are playing for represent a wide swath of the music-loving public”.

Ram Trucks Side Stage performances will be from Priscilla Block, Breland, Jessie James Decker, Parker McCollum, Elvie Shane, and Caitlyn Smith.

CMT Music Awards 2022: How and where to watch?

The CMT Music Awards 2022 will be aired live on CBS starting at 8 PM ET/8 PM PT (LIVE ET/delayed PT) on April 11.

Recently, CMT executive producers Margaret Comeaux, John Hamlin, and Leslie Fram in a statement said, “It’s official: Our three-hour Nashville extravaganza will be LIVE on CBS on April 11 for the first time as part of the Network’s biggest month of music ever”.

The event will also be available for live-stream as well as on-demand via Paramount+.

Interested fans can subscribe to Paramount+ for as low as $5/month. To watch via other streaming services like SlingTV and Hulu + Live TV, viewers need to shell out a monthly subscription charge of $50.

On 15th April from 8 PM – 11:30 PM, CMT will air the awards show for the country music fans again by including some additional content and new performances.
