After a hiatus of two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, the much-awaited Boston Calling Music Festival is returning with a bang this year.
The three-day Boston Calling 2022 event is scheduled to be held over the Memorial Day weekend at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston. It would kick off on May 27 and conclude on May 29.
And now, the organizers have revealed the full lineup of artists set to take over the stage on fire with their hard-rocking and energetic performances.
Fans will be on their toes to know that the Boston Calling 2022 will be headlined by none other than Metallica, The Strokes, and Foo Fighters.
Boston Calling 2022 lineup details
Well, the new lineup made it very clear that The Strokes and Metallica replaced the influential rap metal band Rage Against The Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers that were originally slated to headline the event in 2020.
In a press release, Boston Calling CEO Brian Appel said, “We are so thrilled to bring Boston Calling back, and we cannot thank our loyal fans enough for supporting us as we navigated the pandemic.”
He added, “This year’s line-up is particularly special for us. It not only signifies a return to the things we love, but it also celebrates some of the world’s most renowned acts, exciting up-and-comers, and Boston’s talented music scene.”
Well, a total of 51 artists are geared up to perform at the Boston Calling 2022 event which features the biggest set of regional artists who have ever come together at Boston Calling.
Taking to its Twitter handle, Boston Calling shared the full lineup for the event and also that tickers are available on sale now.
