Futomaki are large-sized sushi rolls made in vinegar rice. Like Chumaki, they also include more than two filling ingredients. Their large size is apt for any sushi lover, extending up to 2.5 inches.
Interestingly, this sushi roll does not belong to Japan. Uramaki is a product of California, because of which it is also addressed as California rolls. It is sushi inside-out. In this arrangement of sushi, the filling is wrapped by seaweed is further rolled by rice on the outside.
