One of the biggest trends in television right now is the sci-fi and fantasy shows. With Netflix, HBO, Prime Video and other streaming services offering a plethora of options, you can find a show that will keep you glued to your couch for hours at a time.
Fans of sci-fi shows and movies are obsessed with the idea that their favourite characters can live forever and that too in their choice of dimension and universe. The idea of living forever is common in science fiction.
It seems sceptical at first, but the world of sci-fi makes you believe that there is another dimension and your favourite character will get to live the life they imagined in the real world.
Turning this thought into reality, Westworld creator Jonathan Nolan is coming up with another sci fi mind bending series “The Peripheral” that will live in our minds rent free for the rest of our lives.
For those who used to day dream about having a remote control or a time machine to go back or in future and live their hypothetical dreams of saving the world or eating all the chocolates in the world.
Well, Jonathan has taken one for all of us and turned the game into a reality. Check out this article to know everything.
Prime Video Released The Trailer For The Peripheral Featuring Chloë Grace Moretz In The Future
Prime Video has released a new trailer for The Peripheral, an upcoming series based on William Gibson’s sci-fi novel about a young woman juggling her mind between two significant time periods in her life.
The series stars Chloë Grace Moretz stars as Flynne, who finds that she can transfer herself 70 years into the future by using technology not yet discovered at this point in history.
The trailer introduces us to Flynne, a woman who works in menial jobs and lives in the suburbs. You might assume that she’s living an ordinary life—until one day when she gets to try out a new VR helmet.
When she tries on a virtual reality headset, she is transported to London and becomes an action hero. She loves the way it makes her feel—like a badass who can solve crimes just by kicking ass!
But the fun does not last long. The series alternates between Flynne’s present-day adventures and those from a more advanced time period, in which a murder mystery unfolds and she gets involved in a case from the future.
In the trailer, we see glimpses of Flynne’s future. She will have to learn how to navigate a world where giant statues tower over London and faceless killers stalk their prey.
Technology such as blast guns and invisible cars seems like magic but is actually commonplace in this dystopian society that has been ravaged by climate change.
The Peripheral’s star-studded cast also includes Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, Louis Herthum, JJ Feild, T’Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alexandra Billings, Adeline Horan, Alex Hernandez, Katie Leung, Julian Moore-Cook, Melinda Page Hamilton, Chris Coy and Austin Rising.
The mind bending sci fi series is ready to premiere on Amazon Prime with its first episode releasing on October 21st followed by new episodes dropping every Friday till December 9th.
