After a wait of almost two years, the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 is finally here. Disney+ launched the trailer for the much-anticipated series last week, and it was enough to add to the excitement of the fans.
The new season will feature Djarin and Grogu traveling through the galaxy once again and encountering some known faces, as Djarin gets to know about his Mandalorian heritage. Read on to watch the trailer and learn more about the show.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Features Din Djarin Going on a Quest
The trailer begins with visuals from previous seasons focusing on the bond between Djarin and Grogu, especially their first meeting and Djarin giving Grogu the silver ball from the lever of Razorcrest. Meanwhile, a voiceover by the Mandalorian Armorer says, “This is the one that you saved? You are as its father… a clan of two.”
Djarin is then seen landing on a plant in an N1 starfighter, and along with Grogu, he walks through a cave, a rainstorm, and a desert and eventually meets the Armorer. “But you have you removed your helmet. Then you are a Mandalorian no more,” says the Armorer.
Those who have watched The Book of Boba Fett would know that the Armorer expelled him from their clan, and the only way he can get his Mandalorian status back is if he makes a pilgrimage to their home planet and “bathe in the living waters of the mines of Mandalore.”
Bo-Katan Returns in The Mandalorian Season 3
The trailer also features Bo-Katan, who does not look happy seeing Din as he arrives in her throne room. “Your cult fractured our people. Where were you then?” she asks Din, referring to the events of the Night of a Thousand Tears, which destroyed the Mandalorian civilization at the hands of the Empire.
Djrain is probably asking for Bo-Katan’s help to reclaim his Mandalorian citizenship in this scene and looks like it is going to take a lot of convincing for her to be on his side, especially when he has the weapon that she desires.
The trailer also introduces several new Mandalorians with soldiers, mercenaries, and bounty hunters dressed in different colored and sized armors. A shot also teases a possible team-up between Bo-Katan’s Nite Owls and Djarin’s s Children of the Watch.
The Mandalorian Season 3 will Premiere in 2023
Disney+ has announced that the new season will premiere sometime in 2023, though a date has not been revealed. Pedro Pascal will return as the titular character of Din Djarin, and Katee Sackhoff will reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze.
The season will aslo star Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing and Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto.
Although The Mandalorian was originally planned as a two-season series, the show’s success made the makers bring it back for a third season, and a fourth installment is also already in the works.
