Two weeks after dropping the teaser and first look images of Sex/Life season 2, Netflix has finally released the official trailer for the series. The show generated a lot of buzz when it premiered in 2021, particularly for its theme of a woman exploring her sexuality and the steamy scenes that came with it.
The trailer promises that the heat will be turned up in the new season as Billie continues to juggle between her husband, her ex, and now a new suitor. Continue reading to watch the trailer and know more about the new season.
Sex/Life Season 2 Trailer: A New Man in Billie’s Life
The trailer begins with Billie having a fallout with both her husband, Cooper Connelly, and her ex-boyfriend, Brad Simon. “One of the most important decisions you’ll ever make is who to spend your life with,” says the voice-over.
While still struggling with the love triangle, she comes across a new love interest, Majid. “The time right after you blow up your life, is usually the most exciting,” Majid tells her. Meanwhile, her best friend, Sasha, also starts seeing a new man.
“I’m not asking you to sacrifice anything. What I’m saying is why not try for it all,” Sasha tells Billie. On the other hand, Cooper starts an affair with his boss, Francesca. Sex/Life premieres on Netflix on March 2. Check out the trailer below.
The New Season will ‘Turn Up the Wild Ride,’ Says Adam Demos
Actor Adam Demos, who plays Brad Simon in the show, opened up about how things will turn out in the new season and said, “I can’t say anything because it will ruin it, but it’s crazy. It was a wild ride in season one, and they turned it up a lot. I don’t think anyone’s going to be disappointed, that’s for sure.”
“Sex/Life is a dream come true. To create a show about empowered female sexuality that has entranced so many millions of viewers is not only immensely fun but also incredibly gratifying,” added showrunner Stacy Rukeyser.
“When I think about all the women who have reached out from all over the world to say that the show speaks to them in a deeply personal way, I am so inspired. I’m thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to continue telling this story for Billie, and for all of us,” Rukeyser continued.
The Series is Based on the Book 44 Chapters About 4 Men
Sex/Life is based on the 2016 book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton. “Billie navigates new challenges — and fresh desires — as she lusts after the life she wants. But will she be able to have it all?,” says the official logline by Netflix.
Apart from Demos, the show stars Sarah Shahi as Billie Connelly, Mike Vogel as Cooper Connelly, Margaret Odette as Sasha Snow, Li Jun Li as Francesca, Meghan Heffern as Caroline, Jonathan Sadowski as Devon, and Amber Goldfarb as Trina.
Joining the cast in the second season are Darius Homayoun as Majid, Wallis Day as Gigi, Dylan Bruce as Spencer, Craig Bierko as Mick, and Cleo Anthony as Kam. Rukeyser also executive produces along with J. Miles Dale and Jordan Hawley.
