Santa Clarita Diet Season 4 Release Date Updates

Santa Clarita Diet is a horror-comedy series that premiered on February 3, 2017. The show currently has three seasons, and fans are waiting to see if Season 4 will be renewed. The story follows Joel and Sheila Hammond, a husband and wife who is a real estate duo in Santa Clarita, California. Well, their mundane lives are turned upside down when Sheila begins to show signs of being a zombie.

Sheila’s befuddled family tries to find a solution for her illness while dealing with the aftermath, such as her newfound desire for human flesh and a radically altered character that is more primitive and aggressive. The show’s most recent season, season 3, premiered on March 29, 2019. And since then, viewers have been skeptical about the show’s renewal and the rumors that have been circulating about it. So, let’s clear the misconceptions.

Santa Clarita Diet Season 4 – Canceled or Renewed?

The first season, which consisted of ten episodes, earned generally excellent feedback. Netflix announced on March 29, 2017, that the series had been renewed for a second season, which premiered on March 23, 2018. The series was revived for a third season on May 8, 2018, and premiered on March 29, 2019.

On April 26, 2019, the show was canceled. As a result, we won’t be able to watch the amazing series anymore. Netflix has officially canceled the show. The cancellation of the show was announced in a statement. Santa Clarita Diet producer Tracy Katsky Boomer told CNN, “They called us with the news yesterday.” “We are all so sad. We have loved making it so much.”

Santa Clarita Diet’s official Instagram account posted a photo with a caption on April 27, 2019 explaining how disappointed they are with the show’s cancellation. It was referred to as “A Note.” Here’s the post, and you can understand from the note they wrote to the viewers about how upset they were.

Santa Clarita Diet Cancellation Reason

Santa Clarita wasn’t the only Netflix show that was canceled, and viewers were understandably upset. So, there was a statement made on the cancellation of a number of shows. Cindy Holland, Netflix’s president of original content, spoke at an INTV conference in Israel in March about why some series is cut short, and as you may know, it all comes down to whether Netflix is receiving enough bucks or not. And this proves through the statement that was made by the head.

“It’s a combination of things,” she stated. “When we’re investing, we decide how much to invest based on the audience that will show up. If the audience doesn’t show up, we think about the reason to continue to invest in something that doesn’t do as well as we had hoped.”

It’s scarcely surprising that the platform’s actions are primarily motivated by commercial considerations. Despite the positive response and demand for the horror drama from fans, Netflix has decided to cancel it.

Santa Clarita Diet Conclusion

Spoiler Alert!

Because of the show’s unsatisfactory conclusion, the cancellation was even more upsetting for viewers. The audience was left with a cliffhanger. If you’ve seen the entire series, you’re probably aware of what happened in the final episode. Dobrivoje accompanies Joel to the storage locker where the dead body pieces cooler is kept. Dobrivoje bursts in after Joel left and suspects Joel of being a representative of the undead.

Gary determines at the Hammond house that he wants to be more involved in Joel and Sheila’s real estate enterprise. Sheila then wants Joel to choose whether or not he wishes to become undead in order to be with her forever. Jean, Tommy, Ron, and Dobrivoje are uninvited visitors for the preview event.

Dobrivoje tries to persuade Joel to leave the party. Ron explains that he turned some people into zombies and informed them everything. Joel is pursued by Sheila, Ron, Tommy, and Jean. Dobrivoje discovers that he is not undead after explaining his intentions to Joel.

Sheila tracks them down, and Dobrivoje whacks her with a rod before fleeing. Tommy, Jean, and Ron locate Joel and Sheila for assistance and then depart. Sheila pursues Dobrivoje, but Joel murders him in the end. While Abby is speaking with Eric, Dobrivoje’s old goons arrive at the Hammond residence. Abby discovers that they are undead and kills them in order to save herself and Eric. Abby runs into Eric after her parents have returned home and they discuss the possibility of dating.

Joel bury the guys, returns home to Sheila, and assures her that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Mr. Ball-Legs gets inside Joel and knocks him out. To save Joel’s life, Sheila bites him. The end came when Sheila hooked her teeth into Joel’s neck. Apart from that, the mystery surrounding Mr. Ball’s legs has remained in the minds of the show’s audience. That was it, the magnificent series came to a close with no suitable finale in the audience’s perspective.

    • Ya! I💙there show! Plus I wonder ball of legs comes out of Joel ear! So is chucks guy zombie too or his just helping sheila?

  1. You need to continue it’s not right to leave the audience on a cliffhanger like that at least just one more season that helps us understand it all please.

  2. I’ve been a fan of Drew Barrymore since I was five. It’s kind of crazy because Drew and I are just two years apart from each other. She was born in 1975 and I was born in 1977. I really loved watching her and Timothy do the show Santa Clarita Diet. I really wish some other networks would pick up the series for its fourth season and possibly fifth and six seasons

  3. I am Am so disgusted that once again – I get hooked into a Netflix show for it to only not be renewed
Leaving me wanting more – cliffhanger
Making me want to cancel my subscription .

  4. I am so sad that I started the show over…again. This is the fourth time for me. If I cant get like 4 more seasons (at least, because they can do sooo much with this)I want them to at least finish it out. (I could watch this forever! all of the actors and actresses that are on this show are fabulous and I love all the characters) netflix is really hurting my feelings. Like what do you need netflix(no I will not capitalize the n you made me mad.)to make season 4 happen? Like do we need to make a go fund me page to get the money to at least finish it out? Or Is it that you guys dont think there are enough people watching? What do we have to do!?!?!?

  5. I think I’m canceling Netflix as they have canceled a great series Santa Clarita Diet was a great show ❤️ Now Netflix puts out some of the stupidest shows I seen I mean come on get a grip 🤮 Time to try Amazon network

  6. Hey, at least bring yourself to a conclusion and don’t leave us hanging. The show was amazing and I’m going to miss it terribly. You have kept some very crappy ones, why not at least one more season of this amazing one?

  7. I loved Santa Clarita diet. Why when a witty and comical but dark comedy comes our way do they have the choice to cancel shows without asking the viewer what we think? Aren’t we the ones that make the shows popular and worth watching. Netflix screwed up this time. It’s happened before. Get viewer opinion.

  8. If we can’t get Santa Clarita Diet back for several more seasons (4+), the Netflix can sure not judge audience desires well enough. I guess Mr. Spider Legs was tired of being a pet. He wanted a host. Joel was it. Now he can live forever and be Undead, and hunt them too!
