Another happy milestone for Chanel Iman! The supermodel, who recently announced her pregnancy, has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, NFL star Davon Godchaux. The New England Patriots player proposed to Iman during a romantic getaway to Italy.
The couple made the announcement with a special post on Instagram on May 30th. Just a few weeks ago, Iman announced that she is expecting her first child with Godchaux. The 32-year-old already has two daughters from her previous marriage with Sterling Shepard.
Pregnant Chanel Iman Gets Engaged to Davon Godchaux
On Tuesday, Iman shared a series of pictures of her engagement on Instagram and wrote, “The blessings keep pouring, grateful for this new chapter and soon to be married and a forever to go ♾️.” The former Victoria’s Secret Angel was on a romantic vacation with her boyfriend in Capri, Italy when he popped the question.
Godchaux, 28, later revealed that he was nervous before going down on one knee. “I never thought I would be getting down on one knee but LOVE will make you do some amazing things in life!” he revealed in his own social media post.
“Chanel I love you so much and I wouldn’t have rather spend this moment with no one else by my side! From the moment we met I knew it was something about you and how much you value having a FAMILY that was really important to me! We are in this together and will always be, I love you from the bottom of my heart! My love, My fiancé, My everything!!” he added.
Iman is Expecting her First Child with Godchaux
Earlier this month, Iman announced that she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend. “Our family is growing and we are so excited to meet our new little one 👼🏽,” the model wrote at the time. A few days later, she revealed that she is going to have another daughter.
Iman currently shares two daughters, Cassie, 3, and Cali, 4, with her former husband Sterling Shepard. The couple were married for three years before separating in June 202. At the time they filed for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’ They now share the joint custody of their children.
The Couple Made Their Relationship Official in 2022
After her divorce, Iman found love with Godchaux. The couple made their relationship official in April last year. The defensive tackle later revealed that he first met Iman at a party in 2016. “I approached her and asked her if she wanted a drink, and we were just talking for the rest of the party,” said Godchaux.
“And then we went to some club for the after-party and kept talking. I got her number, and we went our own separate ways, but we stayed in contact. It was kind of crazy. And now that’s my lady,” he added. The footballer is also a father to a seven-year-old son named Davon Godchaux II with a former partner.
