The ‘God of Mischief’ is making a devilish return soon! Owen Wilson, best known for playing Mobius in “Loki”, shared details about the forthcoming second season of Loki on Disney+ while attending the premiere of his new movie, “Paint”. The 54-year-old actor teased the release date for the much-awaited season. Here’s everything you need to know.
When Is ‘Loki” Season 2 Releasing?
While attending the premiere of his new movie, “Paint”, Owen Wilson teased the release date of the much-awaited season of “Loki” on Disney+. As he walked down the red carpet, Owen, who plays Mobius, in the said series, opened up about returning to his role for the second time. The 54-year-old actor attended the event at The Theatre at Ace Hotel on Thursday (March 23) in Los Angeles.
Owen Wilson hinted that the Season 2 of “Loki” would be making a return somewhere between the end of summer and September. The “God of Mischief” also teased that fans might get to see him and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) in action again. Owen also revealed that it will “get very wild” and hinted at how the latest “Ant-Man” movie set up their comeback.
“I guess they have kind of a little shot of Tom Hiddleston and I and Jonathan Majors from Loki season two,” Wilson opened up about the “Loki” teaser in the post-credits scene of “Ant-Man” and “Wasp: Quantumania”. “And I think that’s coming out end of the summer or September,” he concluded.
Another Special Cast To Join…
Owen Wilson had a lot to share about the forthcoming series. The actor also mentioned that “Indiana Jones” fame Ke Huy Quan was set to join the MCU. He added about the actor joining the “Loki cast”, “I know. It’s so exciting. That was incredible … Every time I saw him winning something, it was another speech that just kind of was a tear-jerker that was so moving.
He continued about the Oscar-winning star, “And even when we were working on this last summer — I think his character that he plays in Loki season two — I think people will be excited, even though that was so great, obviously, the character that he won an Oscar, for I think people are going to love his character in this.”
Wilson was also joined on the red carpet by “Paint” castmates including, Michaela Watkins, Stephen Root, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Lucy Freyer. The movie’s director, Brit McAdams and producer Sam Maydew were also present at the event.
In the upcoming movie, Owen plays the role of Carl Nargle, a local treasure with a soothing whisper of a voice, and hosts his own painting show on Vermont public television. The movie hits theatres on April 7. As for “Loki” Season 2, we can’t wait to see Mobius and Loki in action once again!
