Drake might be raking in more money than we think! The rapper is supposedly a billionaire and hiding his status from the world! At least that is what we can make of the latest comments from his friend and rap queen Nicki Minaj.
Nicki recently uploaded a video on her Instagram story, in which she was heard saying that Drake is apparently ‘very rich’. Read on to know the complete details of the story.
Nicki Minaj Says Drake is a Billionaire
In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 9, Nicki was seen boarding a private jet. She said in the video, “This is what happens when you got a rich — I’m sorry, a very rich, rich, rich, rich — Canadian friend… who is the only billionaire that I know that don’t want people to know he a billionaire.” Watch the video below.
The 39 year old rapper then even liked a tweet that read, “Shoutout to @Drake for being a billionaire too, even though you ain’t want no one to know [crying-laughing face emojis].”
Nicki has made the revelation a few months after Forbes journalist Zack O’Malley Greenburg published his report for top Hip Hop earners for 2021, in which Drake’s earnings were reported to be $50 million last year. At the time, the rapper subtly teased that he was earning much more than that by posting a laugh-cry emoji in the comments.
Online Estimates say Drake’s Net Worth is around $250 Million
As per Celebrity Net Worth, the 35 year old singer is said to have made a fortune of $250 million, which is way less than what Minaj has revealed. The website also estimates that he earns an average of $70 million every year.
The God’s Plan singer has been in the news lately for his exorbitant spending in recent months. In March this year, it was reported that Drake had bought Robbie Williams’ Tuscany-style Beverly Crest in California for $70 million. The massive 20,000-square-foot estate is one of the most exclusive luxury pads in the city of L.A.
Also, it has been reported that he has put $1 billion at stake in virtual gambling after joining gambling website Stakes in December last year.
Nicki and Drake had United at Young Money Reunion Show
The video in question seems to be taken after the Young Money Reunion show at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, which saw the reunion of Drake, Minaj and Lil Wayne. The show was originally planned to take place on August 1 but got postponed after Drake tested positive for Covid. Fortunately, the singer recovered soon, and the concert took place on August 6.
At the concert, Drake and Minaj performed Moment 4 Life and Up All Night together, while Wayne and Drake bounced between verses for The Motto and Every Girl. The trio also performed their wildly popular Bedrock. The three also had solo performances at the event, which concluded with Lil Wayne announcing that work on his next album, Tha Carter VI, was going on.
