What felt like whispers, seems to be true! A top industry source revealed that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik hooked up years before their alleged date night in New York City. It has come out that the “Kiss and Tell” artist and Zayn’s first tryst happened “way back” in the day.
This happened when Selena’s best pal, Taylor Swift was dating the “Dusk Till Dawn” artist’s former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles. The source revealed that Harry Styles and Taylor’s short-lived fling was enough to lead Gomez and Zayn to try things with each other. “They had a thing years ago when Taylor and Harry were dating,” the source narrated.
A PDA-Packed Dinner Date…
The recent revelation from a top industry source comes after Selena and Zayn were recently caught on a PDA-packed dinner date in NYC, which sparked dating rumors about the two musicians.
The insider revealed, “It doesn’t surprise me at all that they’re potentially together today.” Not only this, a hostess at a celebrity-loved Soho eatery fired to set the internet on fire after she revealed that she witnessed Selena and Malik, locking lips while enjoying their date earlier this month.
If you aren’t aware, the hostess’ friend, Klarissa Garcia, was the one who made TikTok video about the alleged encounter, “No one noticed them in the restaurant. It was pretty public but … no one really cares about famous people in New York.”
Things may have been different before, but it appears like the two artists don’t really care about keeping things private anymore. As per various reports, the Love You Like a Love Song crooner and the British singer were allegedly smooching at their table, which was placed right in the middle of a large downtown eatery.
But again, none of them has made any official comment on their relationship rumors, but they do follow each other on Instagram. Apart from his flings, Zayn Malik was in an on-and-off relationship with Victoria’s Secret model Gigi Hadid. The ex-couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in September 2020.
