For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, the Melon Music Awards took place on November 26, 2022, Saturday in Seoul, Korea. This was the 14th edition of the popular K-music award ceremony.

This year, the lineup for the Melon Music Awards was pretty special. It included some of the very famous K-pop groups like TXT, Enhypen, Le SSerafim, and many more.

K-pop performers who set the stage on fire with their great performances at the Melon Music Awards 2022 were as follows: (G)I-DLE, IVE, New Jeans, Monsta X, TXT, Enhypen, ATBO, Le Sserafim, STAYC, BE’O, BIG Naughty, 10cm, and Gomak Boys.

Apart from this, along with the performers lineup, the Melon Music Awards also had a couple of special stages. G)I-DLE’s Soyeon and Shuhua had solo rap performances on the stage as well. Lim Young Woong also hit the stage for his new songs Polaroid and London Boy.

Who was the big winner at Melon Music Awards 2022?

Ladies and gentlemen, Lim Young-woong was the big winner of the night. The South Korean trot, ballad, and pop singer won the award for Artist of the Year as well the trophy for Album of the Year for his debut studio album I’m Hero.

Not only this, but Lim also took home the award for Best Male Solo. In addition to this, he also bagged the Netizen Popularity award in his kitty. The Melon Music Awards 2022 will surely be one of the shows, he will never forget in his life.

Lim garnered the attention of the viewers after competing on the reality television show Mr. Trot, where he won first place out of 17,000 applicants. Last year, he dropped his song, My Starry Love.

Who won the award for Best Global Rising Artist at Melon Music Awards 2022?

STAYC bagged the Best Global Rising Artist award at Melon Music Awards 2022. Let us tell you, the K-pop girl band consists of a total of six members: Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J.

The girl band STAYC made their big debut on November 12, 2020, with the release of their debut single album Star to a Young Culture. The word ‘STAYC’ stands for Star to a Young Culture. In a span of 2 just years, the girl band has strengthened its position as one of the globally rising K-pop acts.

Monsta X won the 2022 Melon Music Award for Global Artist

Monsta X nabbed the award for Global Artist at the 2022 Melon Music Awards. The boy band comprises of 6 members but only 5 of them showed up to collect the award in person.

Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M collected the award but they didn’t forget to thank their sixth member Shownu, who at the moment is serving mandatory military service.

Seo Dong-hyeon nabbed the Best Music Style award at Melon Music Awards 2022

Seo Dong-hyeon, popularly known as Big Naughty snatched the award for Best Music Style at MMA 2022. The 19-year-old South Korean rapper first shot to fame when he appeared on the rap competition TV show Show Me the Money 8 in 2019.

After a while, Seo signed with an international record label named H1ghr Music. The Hip-hop and R&B artist has dropped two extended plays including Bucket List (2021) and Nangman (2022).
