It’s over between Marvin Gaye III and his wife Wendy Gaye! The son of the legendary late Motown singer Marvin Gaye has filed for divorce from his wife Wendy nearly 2 months after the domestic violence incident.

Yeah, you read that right. Marvin Gaye III has filed for divorce from his wife Wendy Gaye. In the court documents, he mentioned January 12 as the date of separation. It is the exact same day he got arrested by the cops for allegedly pointing a gun at his estranged wife.
In the divorce papers, Marvin cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the pair’s split. Apart from this, he asked the court to not grant any spousal support to his wife Wendy.
The estranged couple doesn’t have any kids together. However, Marvin is a proud father of two sons. He welcomed his first son Marvin IV in the year 1995, meanwhile his second son, Dylan was born in 2000.

The news of Marvin and Wendy’s divorce comes just 2 months after she filed a restraining order against him. In January 2023, he was arrested by the cops for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
It was previously reported by TMZ, that Marvin allegedly pointed a gun at his wife, Wendy, and a cousin present at his Los Angeles home following an argument over a previous assault. By the time, the cops reached the spot, he had already gone.
According to the publication, Gaye showed up at the Sheriff’s station the next day and turned himself in. At that time, he was booked on a misdemeanor charge for domestic violence and felony assault with a deadly weapon.
Marvin was released from jail after posting a bond of $50,000. Then, a protective order was also issued where Gaye was asked to stay away from the house and his family members. The incident took place inside his Calabasas home.
