The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her husband, former NFL player Kroy Biermann are heading in the direction of divorce. According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, April 30, 2023 has been listed as the date of the pair’s separation.
In the divorce papers, Kim referred to her marriage as “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” At the moment, Zolciak is seeking primary physical custody of their kids and their joint legal custody. In addition to this, she is also asking for spousal support and the restoration of her maiden name.
The reality TV show Don’t Be Tardy gave all of us a closer look at the personal life of Kim Zolciak and her athlete husband. The estranged couple shares four kids: sons Kroy Jagger, 11, and Kash Kade, 10, and 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren.
When did Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann tie the knot?
Zolciak and Biermann walked down the aisle in 2011. The pair exchanged their vows in November 2011 at their Georgia home. The behind-the-scenes of their wedding were captured in the first season of the show Don’t Be Tardy which ran for a total of 8 seasons from 2012 to 2020.
The couple welcomed their first child together Kroy Jr. (nicknamed KJ), on May 31, 2011. Their second baby, son Kash Kade joined them earthside on August 15, 2012. Kim gave birth to twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren on November 24, 2013.
Along with her four kids with Kroy, the reality TV star also has two daughters Brielle and Ariana from her previous relationships. After getting married to Kim, Kroy adopted her two daughters.

Yeah, you read that right. According to TMZ, Zolciak, and Kroy owe the IRS a lot of money in back taxes from 2013, 2017, and 2018. Along with this, they also owe Georgia money from their 2018 tax returns. Overall, they owe the IRS $1.1 million and Georgia $15,000.
It has been reported by the media outlet that their massive country club mansion located in Alpharetta, GA which was also featured on the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Atlanta entered foreclosure in February. Then, the Truist Bank contacted a law firm to handle the matter.
In the past, Kim denied the foreclosure and sale rumors by saying, “If you guys think I would let my home that we’ve put millions and millions of dollars into go for $257,000, you’re an idiot, okay? For real.”
