Ryan Reynolds surprised the fans after adding Hugh Jackman to Deadpool 3 film. Reynolds was able to convince Jackman to come out of his retirement of playing Marvel’s one of the most popular superheroes. Both actors appeared in a youtube video, where the two announced their reunion in Deadpool 3 film.
Hugh Jackman Teases Time Travel in the Deadpool 3 Plot
Recently, Hugh Jackman has teased more details about the plot details of the upcoming film Deadpool 3. While appearing for Sirius XM, the actor talked about how time travel will be a major part of Deadpool 3.
The actor spoke: “All because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines, now we can go back because you know it’s science, and so I don’t have to screw with the Logan timeline which was important to me and I think probably to the fans too.”
The given details clearly connect with how Deadpool 3 plot is related to its prequel by the time-traveling device. The actor also cleared how the film does not disrupt the 2017 movie Logan’s storyline.
How Will Deadpool and Wolverine Pair Look Like?
After Disney acquired Fox Studios and its properties and films, the X-Man universe of Fox came to an end. But Marvel was always clear that Deadpool would feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe somehow, no matter what happens.
But back before the merger, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds hinted that Deadpool meets Jackman’s Wolverine would never happen. The actor said: “Logan takes place in 2029, totally separate thing. Logan died in Logan. Not touching that.”
Jackman’s return is also a huge achievement for the actor. Deadpool 3 will mark Jackman’s 10th time playing Wolverine on screen in his illustrious career. But this will be his debut film for both actors in the MCU as well.
Even though Jackman talked about time travel in the plot, the actor sees the film as a buddy cop R-rated comedy adventure of two superheroes. The actor revealed his interpretation: “I went to a screening of Deadpool. I was 20 minutes in, and I was like, ‘Ah, damn it!’ All I kept seeing in my head was 48 Hrs. with Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy”.
However, director Shawn Levy described the MCU’s version of Deadpool as “raw, gritty, grounded in the ways that those movies have been and that all of us love.”
How TVA May Become a Part of the Plot of Time Traveling?
As the whole cast is yet to be confirmed, but a few of them are returning to reprise their role. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will obviously feature in this film. But Zazie Beetz is in talks to back at her role as the mutant mercenary Domino. Leslie Uggams has yet to confirm her return as Wade Wilson’s funny roommate Blind Al. Lewis has officially confirmed his return as Shatterstar.
But rumors are indicating Owen Wilson’s character of Morbius in the Loki Disney+ series may appear in a cameo role. Jackman’s confirming the time travel plot further indicates that the rumor is true. This means TVA will interfere with Deadpool’s plan of time traveling and surely connect the plot with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Deadpool will hit the theatres on 8th November 2024, as the MCU’s first film of Phase 6 film.
