Here comes one more awards show! The 22nd annual BET Awards are all set to raise the curtains on June 26, 2022.
The 2022 BET Awards which are touted as “Culture’s Biggest Night” will be celebrating the biggest achievements of African Americans in music, acting, sports, and more over the last year.
As per a press release, this year’s awards is looking forward to “showcase the best, brightest and most beautiful aspects of the Black experience — celebrating the present and future of Black music by elevating the culture and being a driving force for social change”.

The BET Awards 2022 will be aired live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET. / 5 p.m. PT. on BET.

BET Awards 2022: Host
This year again, actress Taraji P. Henson is set to host the awards show. Well, she is returning as the host of the BET Awards for the second time who hosted the event last year as well.

BET Awards 2022: Nominations
The Kiss Me More singer Doja Cat is leading the pack of nominees with a total of six nods. She has been nominated in various categories such as Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, and Album of the Year for “Planet Her”.
Next in line of the nominees are Ari Lennox and Drake, both of them have four nominations, followed by Baby Keem, Silk Sonic, Chlöe, Future, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Ye (formerly Kanye West), Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, Mary J. Blige and Tems with three nominations each.
Three albums that were nominated for album of the year at the 64th annual Grammy Awards have also found a place in the list of nominees for the BET Awards 2022. The names of the three albums are as follows: H.E.R.’s Back of My Mind, West’s Donda, and Doja’s Planet Her.
