Fast X: Streaming Release Date Explored

Fast X is one of the most-awaited films of the year. The film will serve as the first part of the two-part conclusion of Fast & Furious, one of the most successful action franchises in the world.

The movie, a direct sequel to 2021’s F9, will revolve around Dominic Toretto trying to protect his family from Dante Reyes, who is seeking revenge for the death of his father, drug lord Hernan Reyes. Fast X is now soon arriving in the cinemas. But what about streaming? When and where will the film be available to stream? Read on to find out.

Fast X Streaming Release Date

Fast X is being released in theaters around the world on Friday, May 19. However, the film would not be available on any streaming platform simultaneously, and will only be screened in cinemas.

Following the theatrical run, Fast X is expected to be released for streaming on Peacock. Universal has a deal in place with Peacock to stream its films on the platform after their theatrical release. The previous films have taken around six to seven weeks after their theatrical release to arrive on Peacock.

If the same trend is followed, Fast X will be available for streaming at the beginning of July 2023. Universal also has a contract with Amazon Prime Video, which lets them stream the films on the platform, about four months after their release on Peacock. So, Fast X could be available on Prime Video in November 2023.

The Previous Fast & Furious Films are Available on Different Platforms

Currently, only two Fast & Furious films are available for streaming, that too on different platforms. The previous installment, F9, is streaming on HBO Max, while Furious 7 is available on Peacock.

The rest of the films in the series have not found a streaming home, and are only available on pay-cable channel apps, including truTV and TNT, and on on-demand purchases. On the contrary, two years ago, HBO Max had The Fast and the Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

Fast X is the Penultimate Film in the Franchise

The Fast & Furious franchise is concluding with a two-part finale. The 11th and final film is already in development and is expected to be released next year. As for Fast X, the description reads, “Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted and outdriven every foe in their path.”

“Now, they must confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced. Fueled by revenge, a terrifying threat emerges from the shadows of the past to shatter Dom’s world and destroy everything — and everyone — he loves.”

The film stars Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej Parker, Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, John Cena as Jakob Toretto, Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, Sung Kang as Han Lue and Alan Ritchson as Agent Aimes.
