Doja Cat accidentally suffered a wardrobe malfunction after her much-talked-about birthday party on Friday night. The singer, who celebrated her 27th birthday with a masquerade-themed party at a club in West Hollywood, ended up revealing more than intended while leaving the venue.
Doja, however, seemed to be unfazed about the incident and took it in stride as she joked about it on social media today. Read on to know more about the incident.
Doja Cat Suffered Wardrobe Malfunction after 27th Birthday Party
Doja attended her party on October 21 in semi-nude attire, wearing only a black velvet cape with an elaborate mask having golden and white feathers. After the event got over, the singer, whose real name is Amala Dlamini, hopped into her car as the paparazzi continued to click her pictures.
At one point, when Amala was just settling into the backseat of her black SUV, she shifted her cape back, accidentally exposing her right breast completely. The Kiss Me More singer seemed unaware of the wardrobe malfunction and was driven away in the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the pictures taken at the party also reveal that Doja was topless during the whole event. The singer has now reacted to the incident and seems unaffected by the malfunction. “IF ANYBODY GOT NUDES OF ME FROM LAST NIGHT PLEASE SEND CUZ I WANNA POST EM,” she tweeted on October 23, adding, “F***in prudes”.
This isn’t the first time that Doja has suffered a wardrobe malfunction. Last year in September, the singer had a bit of an uncomfortable moment at Balmain’s Paris Fashion Show when her bralette dress slipped a little on stage. However, the singer continued with her performance.
Doja’s 27th Birthday Party was a Star-Studded Affair
Doja’s birthday party was a lavish affair with a theme inspired by the 1999 erotic film Eyes Wide Shut. A number of celebrities were spotted at the event, wearing elaborate black dresses with eye masks.
The guest list included some big names, including Justin and Hailey Bieber, who arrived with their friend Kendall Jenner. Other celebs spotted at the event included Winnie Harlow, Ty Dolla Sign, Coi Leray, Stassie Karanikolaou, Cole Bennett, Tyga, Niall Horan, and Normani.
The party was organized in WeHo at the Raspoutine on Melrose, where hip hop and jazz music was played all night. Doja cut an enormous three-storey black and golden cake to mark the occasion of her 27th birthday.
Doja’s Message to her Fans on her Birthday
Before the party, Doja had posted a light-hearted message on her Instagram, wearing a lacy nightgown and a black robe wrapped around her arms. The singer stood in her bathroom supporting a no-make-up look, and her eyebrows seemed to be bleached or shaved.
In the video, she shared a message for her 24 million Instagram followers, saying, “Hello everyone, it’s my birthday today, so I just wanted everyone to know I will be keeping tabs on each and every one of you who don’t send me a happy birthday wish.” She jokingly captioned the post, “instills fear among the masses.”
