Henry Golding is going to be a father again! The actor’s wife, Liv Lo is pregnant with their second child. The Crazy Rich Asians star announced the happy news with a post on Instagram on Friday.
The couple already has a two-year-old daughter named Lyla. Golding has been married to Lo since 2016. Continue reading to know more about the couple’s journey toward parenthood again.
Henry Golding and Wife Liv Lo Expecting Second Child
Golding shared a couple of black and white photos on Instagram on May 5th, which showed him happily cradling his wife’s baby bump while sitting outside on a bench. Meanwhile, their daughter Lyla sat on her father’s lap and also adorably cradled her mother’s bump in one of the photos.
“Inbound ♥️👼🏻,” the 36-year-old actor wrote along with the pictures. Lo shared the same photos on her own account and revealed that the baby is due in September. “Oh hey! New baby otw, due Sept 1 ❤️✨,” she wrote.
Lo also revealed that she has been practicing yoga during her pregnancy, and said that she would be sharing her journey with her followers in a video series. “I became a mompreneur when I became pregnant,” she explained.
“I have a prenatal yoga certification and practiced yoga throughout my last pregnancy, but this time, I am sharing my journey to demonstrate how important yoga is for the mind and body because health begins with the mother,” Lo continued.
Golding and Lo Got Married in 2016
The couple started dating in 2011 and tied the knot five years later in 2016. At the time, the much-in-love actor spoke about his wife and said, “My wife is the best woman in the whole universe. She’s so strong, she’s extremely loyal, independent.”
“I wouldn’t be able to do it without her, so it’s wonderful to be able to have this success, but also, it’s wonderful to be able to share it with her.” Talking about their plans to have kids shortly after the wedding, Golding had said, “No time soon. I think we’re going to lap up what we have and what we’ve sort of worked so hard for. We’re looking forward to traveling a bit.”
The Couple Welcomed their First Child in 2021
Golding and Lo welcomed their first child, daughter Lyla, in March 2021. Opening about fatherhood, Golding had said in an interview, “It puts everything in perspective. It has allowed me to really kind of focus in on what really matters in life.”
In May last year, he once again talked about his favorite thing about fatherhood and said, “Seeing her [Lyla] grow and change. Like today is actually Liv’s birthday, and on Liv’s birthday, little baby decided to really attempt to walk. She’s changing so much, so every day is like a treat.”
The actor and his wife also initially decided to keep their child away from the limelight. “We were like, ‘Ah, we don’t want to put her on social media too much. just want to share my joy of this tiny little person that’s brought so much joy to our lives. There’s nothing wrong with that,” Golding stated in an interview.
