Jimmie whose real name is James Edward Allen started by writing, “After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate. As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year.”
The When This Is Over crooner went on to say, “Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another.”
Allen concluded, “In light of our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time.” Soon after, his pregnant wife Alexis shared the same statement on her Instagram page.
Jimmie whose new competition show My Kind of Country is currently streaming on the platform Apple TV+ shares two daughters: Zara James, 17 months, and Naomi Bettie, 3, with Alexis. In addition to this, he is also a dad to his son named Aadyn from a previous relationship.

While having a chat with Entertainment Tonight last year, Jimmie spilled the beans on his personal life. Then, the musician told Cassie DiLaura at the ACM Awards that he and his wife “feel outnumbered” by their kids.

The Make Me Want To singer continued, “Cause when it comes to babies, you know guys, we got the fun part … women gotta carry the baby. Give birth to the baby. And ’cause she’s told [people] before she doesn’t mind giving birth, it’s the pregnancy part that’s normally gonna be hard on her.”
Jimmie further added, “But I’m cool if she’s done. My jerseys are retired, but then we did talk about maybe in a couple years having another one, but we’ll kind of just see. Whatever happens, happens.”

Jimmie and his wife Gale were introduced to each other through Allen’s cousin’s wife in the spring of 2019. Both of them are originally from Milton, Delaware. Soon after, the two of them started dating.

Their Disney World proposal was a family affair. For the special occasion, both Jimmie and Alexis were joined by their families including their parents, their sisters, his cousin and a friend.
In an earlier interview with the media outlet, Allen mentioned that he fell even harder for Alexis when he saw her interact with his son Aadyn from a previous relationship.
