Dolly Parton announces new rock album ‘Rockstar’
Dolly Parton’s new rock album titled Rockstar will feature collaborations with artists including Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Elton John, Lizzo, Joan Jett, Sting, Chris Stapleton, Steven Tyler, Debbie Harry, and Kid Rock amongst many others.
The Gnomeo & Juliet actress’ forthcoming 30-track album will contain 9 original songs and 21 rock anthems including We Are the Champions, Purple Rain, and Free Bird. Her album will drop on November 17.
What did Dolly Parton have to say about her long-awaited first rock album ‘Rockstar‘?
In a statement issued, the Coat of Many Colors singer spoke about her new rock album Rockstar and said, “I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar!”
Parton further added, “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”
According to Billboard, Dolly is going to release the first song from her album Rockstar on Thursday, May 11, 2023, during the 58th annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
