Blink-182 Deletes All Instagram Posts Amid Reunion Speculations

One of the most awaited reunions might just happen! Reports suggest Blink-182 are seemingly getting back together after fans spotted some cryptic activity on the members’ social media handles, hinting at their reunion.

In the past few days, fans noticed Blink-182 billboards appearing mysteriously around the world, giving rise to speculations of the members coming back together. Amid all the rumors, all the posts from the band’s official Instagram page have been deleted.

Blink-182 Clears Instagram Page after Rumors of Reunion

The Instagram handle now only has a bio that reads, “Crappy Punk Rock since 1992”, followed by a guitar emoji, and the link to their official website. Meanwhile, the website has also gone down and now displays an animated bunny tapping his foot as a message that reads, “Hard At Work! Check Back Soon.”

Getting fans more excited is the band’s recent activity on Twitter. Blink-182’s official Twitter handle has liked some tweets from over a decade ago, which mentioned that the band would be releasing an album 10 years from then.

“It’s going to be really strange in 10 years when blink182 is classic rock and we hear it in drug stores and elevators,” read one tweet liked by the band. “Blink-182 is writing a new album! It should be released in the next 10 years or so!” says another.

Tom DeLonge Might be Making a Comeback to Blink-182

Speculations are also rife that guitarist Tom DeLong, who left the band in 2014 to focus on ‘leaving a better world for his children’, would also make a comeback with his former bandmates. The guitarist has updated his Instagram bio and mentioned Blink-182, among other projects he works on.

Troy Hanson, Vice President of rock formats at Cumulus Media, also broke the news of the 46 year old musician rejoining the band in social media post, which was later deleted. “Tom DeLonge has rejoined blink-182 and they’re coming to the United Center. Live Nation, that’s my gift to you guys for doing all this at the end of October with Panic! At The Disco,” the deleted post said.

In August this year, Mark Hoppus shared that he had reconciled with DeLonge and Travis Barker post his cancer diagnosis. “Everybody’s in a really great place right now. I keep writing music, and I’m open to whatever the next phase of Blink is. I’m hopeful for the future. I’m just damn glad to be here.”

Billboards of Blink-182 are Popping Up at Different Locations

Fans around the world have spotted billboards featuring Blink-182 with a new logo. The reports first came from Peru, where the new logo was seen on an electronic billboard. A Reddit series then pointed out noticing similar posters for advertising something called ‘182 Industries’.

The posters were linked to a website named onehundredeightwo.com, which redirected to Blink-182’s official website. Meanwhile, guitarist Matt Skiba, who replaced DeLonge in 2015, recently said that he isn’t sure if he is still part of the band.

Blink-182’s last album, Nine, was released in 2019. In 2020, they released a single titled Quarantine, based on the lockdown. In 2021, Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer, which he won over in the same year.
