The Rock Shares New Trailer for Black Adam

While some fans have liked the trailer, others have criticized the makers for including footage from the 2017 film Justice League instead of the Synder Cut version of it. “Oh… Not a cool memory to see a Josstice League scene again. Showing a scene of Zack Snyder’s Justice League with Darkseid would have been a LOT better,” wrote a disappointed fan.
Another one tweeted, “I cannot support a film that considers Josstice League as Canon . It is a joke . Especially given the onset abuse nevermind the fact it’s terrible . Really disappointed.”
Black Adam will Explore the Origin Story of the Anti-Hero
In the DC comics, Black Adam is a villain, while the film version will treat him as an anti-hero. The film will revolve around the tragic origin story of Teth Adam and The Rock will be seen facing off Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Doctor Fate and Cyclone, who are members of the Justice Society of America.
The official synopsis of the film reads, “In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam. Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend.”
“Now released, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher and Cyclone,” the synopsis reads further. Black Adam will be the 11th film in the DCEU and will serve as a spin-off to the 2019 film Shazam!
Black Adam Star Cast
Apart from Johnson, the film will star Aldis Hodge, known for City on a Hill and One Night in Miami as Hawkman; Noah Centineo of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before as Atom Smasher; Sarah Shahi, famous for Rush Hour 3, as Isis and Murder on the Orient Express fame Marwan Kenzari as Sabbac.
Other cast members include Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel / Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate.
