Indian artist Aman Rajwansh made fans chuckle with his “Desi Kalakaar” series last year which re-imagined Western stars as Indian residents. Now, the artist returns with round two of the “Desi Kalakaar” series.
Last year he had artists like Justin Bieber, Drake, Snoop Dogg, Usher, and more. When Rajwansh released the original series, he said his intent was to creatively bridge music to art. He uses popular figures as a way to draw in younger audiences and blend Eastern and Western influences. Rajwansh cites Ankur Patar, a popular digital artist in India, as one of his mentors and inspirations.
“Desi Kalakaar 2” features important figures like Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, Brad Pitt, Bebe Rexha, DJ Khaled, Leonardo Di Caprio, Stan Lee, Robert Downey Jr., Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West and more. They were all individuals Rajwansh had the pleasure of seeing when they came to India for concerts, promotions and more.
The self-taught India based artist has definitely improved as this second collection is even more amazing than the first!
