The rock star Justin Bieber tied the knot with Hailey Baldwin in the year 2018 at a New York City courthouse. November 2009: Justin meets Hailey for the first time at a ‘Today’ show event

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were first introduced to each other nearly a decade ago. As per a report by Vogue magazine, the two of them met in a brief meet-and-greet captured on camera backstage at a Today show appearance for the Baby singer.

In the video from the pair’s first meeting Hailey who was 12 years old then, shyly shook the rock star’s hand at the behest of her dad, actor Stephen Baldwin. For those of you who are unversed, let us tell you Hailey’s dad Stephen shares a good friendship with Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette which led to the meeting of the pair.

Justin and Hailey crossed paths again nearly two years after their first meeting. The two of them were spotted together at the 2011 premiere of Justin’s Never Say Never documentary in New York City.

Later on, during an interview with Vogue, Baldwin clarified that she found Justin ‘cute’ but she was never a Belieber. At that time, she said, “I was never a superfan, of him or of anyone. It was never that crazed, screaming thing. I didn’t think about it in any kind of way except for the fact that he was cute. Everybody had a crush on him. In a since-deleted tweet posted in May, Hailey said, “I don’t care what anyone says but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together is the definition of a teenage dream! #word.”  A couple of months later, she put out another tweet that read, “I’m for sure 100% team #Jelena.”

Over the years, Hailey has shared several tweets about the Love Yourself singer. In a January 2012 tweet, she complimented his hairstyle. Then, she tweeted, “Can we just talk about your dark hair for a second… #itlooksreallygood.”

November 10, 2014: Justin and Hailey are spotted at Hillsong Church together

In November 2014, Hailey and the What Do You Mean singer were snapped together by the paps while they were at a service at the New York outpost of the Australian megachurch. Hailey’s close pal Kendall Jenner also accompanied the pair during their outing.

Later on, Hailey told Vogue, that the duo’s friendship strengthened after they reconnected at church. She told the media outlet, “One day Justin walked into Hillsong and was like, ‘Hey, you got older.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, what’s up?’ Over time he became my best guy friend. I was running around with him as his homie, but we weren’t hanging out [romantically].”

By the end of 2015, the pair took a trip to Mexico. Hailey joined the All I Want For Christmas Is You crooner and his family including his dad and siblings on a highly-publicized vacation in Tulum, Mexico in December 2015, a few weeks after Bieber was snapped with his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez at a hotel in Beverly Hills.

February 5, 2020: Justin and Hailey Bieber talk about their marriage

Justin and Hailey discussed the details of their marriage in an episode of Justin’s  Seasons docu-series. He stated that getting “to share my life with [Hailey] just makes it so much more rewarding.”

Hailey further added, “He was the first person I ever had real feelings for. When things kind of went south for a little bit and we went our separate ways, I just knew that no matter what the outcome was going to be, he was going to be somebody that I loved for the rest of my life.
