It’s the duo of your dreams! YouTube personality Lilly Singh aka Superwoman has been roped in by Pantene India as the brand’s new face. She joins actress Priyanka Chopra who has been part of the campaign for a year. Together, these two make for the greatest team with their luscious locks.

Indo-Canadian star Singh’s claim to fame might be her hilarious YouTube channel but she’s done so much to educate and empower women and immigrants. Plus, her videos are just so real and relatable, no matter what the subject is. It’s most definitely a matter of pride that a Punjabi woman is rocking her flawless long hair freely on TV. For South Asians, there weren’t many celebrities who looked liked them on TV until recently. Both Singh and Chopra are breaking barriers in this regard.

For now, Singh’s commercials will air only in India and not on American screens but hey, we’ll happily take what we get in this case. She brings her classic style of wit and charm in these commercials, including her famous avatar as her own mother, the perfect representation of a desi mom. The ad, about Pantene’s oil replacement, focuses on the hassles her mom expects her to go through for her hair and daunting process of oiling it as compared to this new product.

Announcing her partnership, Singh recently said that she’s thrilled to be the new Pantene girl because her lifetime of growing that hair has finally paid off.

 To top it off, her chemistry with Chopra is off the charts as witnessed by the funny camaraderie the two ladies share. It’s no wonder Pantene chose them to be the brand ambassadors. They’re two fierce, stunning, boss ladies, after all. This previous collaboration between Singh and Chopra is further proof.
