Once upon a time lyricists in the Bollywood film industry created magic with their pens. They carefully cultivated lines heavy with emotion that could either move you to tears or have you dancing with joy. Unlike wine, Bollywood song lyrics however, did not age well over time.

As years passed more and more nonsensical songs were produced like this gem from the hit film “Hera Pheri.”

Sadly it’s been a downhill battle from here. Clearly, lyrics have been deteriorating to random sounds, anything that rhymes with the one line that makes sense in the song, and random incoherent lyrics that compare things that are not relatable at all in the past few years.

Here is part 1 of our list of 20 of most recent Bollywood songs with the worst lyrics.

1. “Supergirl from China”

“Supergirl from China” is the touching love story of how a sex doll ordered from China comes to life… yes I am not lying to you, these are the facts. This song by Kanika Kapoor and Mika Singh, features the sexy Sunny Leone in the music video as the Chinese sex doll who turns into a real life super hero.

I have no words for this insanity…

2. “Hookah Bar”

Who can resist the catchy and love filled lyrics of “Hookah Bar” from the film “Khiladi 786.” I mean “tera pyaar pyaar pyaar Hookah Bar,” dude, that just says it all.

Jokes aside, this song is so catchy I’m totally guilty of jamming to this.

3. “Dil Kare Chu Che”

“Dil Kare Chu Che” has an English translation of every other line within the song because the female lead of “Singh is Bliing,” Amy Jackson, doesn’t speak fluent Hindi.

Even with the English translations this song is totally incoherent. What does “chu che” even mean?

4. “Paani Wala Dance”

Sexy Sunny Leone can make anything look good but, this “Paani Wala Dance” from her adult comedy with Ram Kapoor, “Kuch Kuch Locha Hai,” is just not working out well.

5. “Ice Cream Khaungi Kashmir Jaungi”

Can you believe the sexy actress in “Ice cream Khaungi Kashmir Jaungi” is the little girl who played Neelam’s daughter in the the iconic family drama, “Hum Saath Saath Hain?” Yea I know, even that bit of knowledge isn’t going to make this weird song any better, but hey, I tried.

What I’d like to know is how is ice cream and Kashmir even related?

6. “Tooh”

“Tooh” is a song basically describing all the various butts found in the world from America to Punjab—because we really needed an in-depth research study on booty’s to make our life complete.

Kay, THANKS.

7. “Caller Tune Baby”

“Caller tune baby, caller tune baby, caller tune. Mujhe Apni bana le caller tune soniye, everytime I see you, I’m over the moon soniye. Tujhe chahun summer, winter, monsoon soniye.”

I’m sorry, what?

8. “Lovely”

“Main lovely ho gayiaan naam tera padh ke, naam tera padh ke.”

Thanks Deepika, I didn’t know my name has such powers? How, umm… lovely?

9. “Paaji Tussi Such a Pussycat”

Saif Ali Khan’s “Happy Ending” has a song titled “Paaji Tussi Such a Pussycat,” after such an eloquently written title, how could I possibly add to the beauty of this song.
*cough* sarcasm *cough*

Let’s just check out the song, shall we?

10. “Sunny Sunny”

The entirety of the work of Yo Yo Honey Singh could be featured on this list but it’s a sunny day so we’ll go with “Sunny Sunny” from “Yaariyaan” because, you know, I needed a weather forecast.

Plus, I wasn’t sure if the water was blue enough, I need confirmation from bikini-clad models.

However, I can’t deny that this song has a fun beat and is a great dance number, if you don’t pay attention to the lyrics that is.
