A man from Japan named Toco dog man has spent a whopping $15,000 on a Collie costume to fulfill his lifelong dream of being a pooch. Toco also has a YouTube channel that goes by the name of ‘I want to be an animal’ where he records himself becoming a human-sized Collie.
As of this moment, Toco has shared 22 videos of himself doing the usual dog things such as going for a walk, eating food from a bowl, and rolling around the floor. Yeah, you read that right. Over time, Toco dog man has become a popular internet personality after he spent a hefty amount on a hyper-realistic dog suit. In his YouTube videos, the man dolls up as a collie and gets on all fours, and lives life the way dogs would.
The man has not disclosed his true identity as he’s afraid that his friends might ostracize him. As of this moment, the man has not revealed any more details about himself on his YouTube channel.
The Japanese man named Toco has never made an appearance on camera without his $15,000 (two million Yen) dog suit. He went for his favorite breed, the collie, and he bought the suit on Zeppet, a Japanese agency noted for making sculptures and models for films.
It has been reported that it took Zeppet a total of 40 days to make the dog suit. Toco has stated that he is still adding a few things to the dog suit to make it more perfect. In a media interaction, Toco said, “Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal. I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation.”
Toco dog man doesn’t want his friends to think that he’s weird
Toco has fulfilled his childhood dream, of becoming a dog but he doesn’t want to tell his friends about his hobby as he doesn’t want them to think he’s strange.
During an interview with The Mirror, the man said, “I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal.”
He went on to say, “Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal. I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation.”
The Japanese man loves doing all the things that a dog loves to do like walking on a lead and having belly rubs which make him feel like a real pet. However, he finds some aspects of being a dog difficult such as walking on four legs.
