When did Nick become a father for the first time?
The Masked Singer host first became a dad in the year 2011 when he and his then-wife Mariah Carey welcomed their twins, Moroccan and Monroe into the world. The pair got divorced after five years and since then they have been co-parenting their son and daughter.
The country singer Mariah tied the knot with Nick on April 30, 2008, at her private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas. The two of them separated and filed for divorce in 2014 but they reconciled their romance in 2015. Their divorce got finalized in 2016.
During an interaction with Us Weekly in 2019, Nick spilled tea on his relationship with Mariah. He said, “We got our egos and this selfish behavior [but] when you put your children first, you understand that it’s all unconditional love. All that other stuff just falls apart. I always want what’s best for my children.”

- Mariah Carey: Nick was married to the All I Want For Christmas Is You singer Mariah Carey from the year 2008 to 2016. Carey is the mother of twins Moroccan and Monroe. The former couple shares a set of twins, a son named Moroccan Scott Cannon, and a daughter whose name is Monroe Cannon.
- Brittany Bell: Nick’s former flame Brittany Bell is the mother of his son Golden Sagon Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen Cannon.
- Abby De La Rosa: His then partner Abby De La Rosa is the mother of his other set of twins, both boys. The names of their sons are as follows: Zion Cannon and Zillion Cannon.

Monroe Cannon
Monroe is the first daughter of Nick Cannon. Mariah Carey gave birth to her and Nick’s baby girl on April 30, 2011, which also happened to be the day of the pair’s third anniversary.
The couple took inspiration for their daughter’s name from Marilyn Monroe who is an inspiration for Mariah. She does not have a middle name which was something that was done intentionally by Carey as she also didn’t have one.
Nick’s daughter Monroe made her modeling debut in July 2021 in a video for OshKosh B’gosh. We must say that the pair’s daughter Monroe is a star in the making.
Moroccan Scott Cannon
Moroccan is the twin brother of Monroe and Nick’s first son. Unlike his sister, he has a middle name that he shares with his dad Nick. Moroccan’s middle name is a reference to Nick’s grandmother‘s maiden name.
The nickname of Moroccan is Roc, which comes from the Moroccan decor in the apartment where Nick proposed to Mariah back in 2008. In an interaction with Us in 2018, Nick talked about his son and said “His reading level is, like, 4th-grade reading level and he’s just 6.”
Golden Sagon Cannon
Nick welcomed his second son Golden Sagon Cannon with model Brittany Bell. He was born on February 21, 2017. He just turned 5 this year. In the past, both of his parents planned birthday parties for him that were themed after The Karate Kid.
Bell’s baby boy Golden made a debut on her Instagram profile in March 2017. At the time, she posted a picture of herself and her son and simply captioned it “Being a mommy is so incredible.”
Powerful Queen Cannon
Nick’s baby no.4 is his daughter Powerful Queen Cannon. Nick and Brittany’s little angel joined them earthside in December 2020, while The Masked Singer Season 4 was still airing.
Around that time, Bell announced the arrival of the couple’s daughter on the social media platform Instagram. She posted a beautiful picture of the family of four. She wrote, “The best gift ever ♥️ we have been surprised with… A GIRL!!!!!”, in the caption of the post.
Brittany further added, “👑Powerful Queen Cannon👑 came this week perfect timing for Christmas. So much more to share. All I can say is that Nick was my rock through the most intense yet empowering natural water birth. It was nothing but POWERFUL ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Merry Christmas!!!! THANK YOU GOD ♥️”
Zion Mixolydian Cannon
Nick and Abby De La Rosa announced that they were expecting their twins with some epic maternity photos in April. Later on, Rosa revealed that their twin boys came into the world on June 16 in an Instagram video.
Abby announced the great news on the social networking service Instagram with a clip of her cradling both her babies. “✨JUNE 14TH, 2021 ✨Welcome to the world Zion Mixolydian Cannon & Zillion Heir Cannon #Myworld #twinboys #ZionandZillion”, she captioned the post.
Zillion Heir Cannon
Zillion is Nick’s sixth child. His nickname is Zilly. He and his twin brother, Zion, were born on June 14, 2021. At that time, his mom Abby Da Le Rosa shared a sweet picture of her son’s hands holding onto hers on her Instagram Story as well.
At the time, Nick’s baby mama Abby took to her Instagram and wrote, “I pray that God give you both the strength to walk brave and boldly in your individual truth just like your Daddy.”
The DJ further added, “Your Dad and I will always be here for you both; in complete unison and support. No matter what this world may throw your way, know that forgiveness is key and what is for you — is for YOU! You both are already so loved, and we can’t wait to meet you both.”
Zen S. Cannon
Nick and model Alyssa welcomed their son Zen on June 23, 2021. He was Nick’s, seventh baby. Something tragic happened in December of 2021, Nick revealed on a talk show that the pair’s baby boy had passed away from brain cancer.
Before Zen’s death, in an earlier interaction, Cannon said, “I really want to say I’m so grateful for my entire family for coming together during this time and being so loving and not judgmental of me.”
Nick had all good things to say about his baby mama Alyssa and he further added, “Alyssa was the strongest woman I’ve ever seen… [She] was always the best mom and continues to be the best mom possible.”
What did Nick have to say about having so many kids?
While making an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Nick Cannon was asked “why he had so many kids” and “why so many mothers”? to which he replied, “The idea that a man should have one woman…we shouldn’t have anything.”
Nick went on to say, “I have no ownership over this person. It’s about what exchange we can create together. So, I’ve never really subscribed to that mentality. I don’t want ownership over anybody. I don’t have ownership over any of the mothers. We created a beautiful entity…”
