It seems like Johnny Depp is back on the dating market! As per a report by People magazine, the Pirates of the Caribbean star and Joelle Rich, a lawyer who represented him in his U.K. libel lawsuit, are no longer together.

On Friday, November 4, 2022, a close source told People magazine, that the A Nightmare on Elm Street star and the London-based lawyer, have pulled the plug on their relationship.
As of this moment, the reason behind the split of Johnny Depp and Joelle Rich has not been revealed. Up until now, neither the Hollywood actor nor the lawyer who represented him in his libel trial against The Sun in 2018 has made any official comment on the same.
When did Johnny Depp and Joelle Rich spark dating rumors?
For those of you who are unaware, let us tell you, in September 2022, a close source told People magazine, that The Rum Diary actor and the London lawyer Joelle Rich were “dating  but it’s not serious.”
We must say, Johnny and the attractive attorney managed to keep their casual fling away from the flashing cameras for some time before their relationship was confirmed to the public.
Joelle was a part of Johnny’s legal team during his libel case against The Sun. He ended up losing the case in November 2020. At that point, he sued the U.K. newspaper for calling him a “wife-beater,” but the court upheld the outlet’s claims as being “substantially true” and then, Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard also testified to back up the claims.
Then in March 2021, Depp tried to file an appeal to overturn the court’s decision but it was overruled. As per various reports, Rich was not one of the lawyers on Johnny’s defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, which was held in Fairfax County, Virginia.
The Edward Scissorhands star won the case and he was awarded more than $10 million in damages. On the other hand, when we talk about Amber Heard, she bagged a total of $2 million in her kitty.

Joelle Rich is a lawyer by profession. At that moment, she lives in London. She studied at the University of Birmingham in Birmingham, England, from 2003 to 2006, and received a degree in law. In 2021, she represented Meghan Markle in a case against the publishers of the Mail on Sunday.
According to Joelle’s bio, she “helps individuals and families in the public eye protect their privacy and reputations” and has “expertise in libel, privacy and copyright disputes.” She “works to defend [clients’] reputations against false and defamatory allegations in print, online and on social media.”
