Why is Walmart closed on Thanksgiving Day?
Walmart has confirmed via a press release that all of its stores will be closed on November 23/ Thanksgiving Day 2023. The retail chain has mentioned the reason to keep the stores closed to say “thank you” to the teams for their dedication and hard work.
“Closing our stores on Thanksgiving Day is one way we’re saying ‘thank you’ to our teams for their dedication and hard work this year. We hope everyone will take the opportunity to be with their loved ones during what’s always a special time,” the press release stated.
Last year, CEO Dacona Smith stated that the stores are kept closed on Thanksgiving to honor the efforts of the staff in tough times.
Walmart will be Open on Wednesday for your Thanksgiving Needs
Fortunately, all Walmart stores will stay open on Wednesday, a day before Thanksgiving Day. If you need anything for the special day, just plan your visit during regular business hours. Usually, Walmart stores open at 6 AM and close around 11 PM.
Some locations also stay open for 24 hours. You must give the store you are planning to visit a call before stepping out of your house. Another option is to order your stuff from Walmart.com but it may take some to deliver.
Will Walmart Open on Black Friday 2023?
Yes. Walmart will stay open on Black Friday 2023. The opening and closing hours will vary according to the location. You must check out the altered schedule before heading out. We’ll keep you posted when the timings are confirmed officially.
