Not long ago, Doja Cat received a death threat from an angry fan. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sources have told the media outlet TMZ, that earlier this week, the Kiss Me More singer was involved in a private chat with some fans.
During the chat, a guy began acting weird. Soon after, the Get Into It crooner clapped back at him. The media outlet reported that the guy who is from outside the state of California, where Doja resides got kicked out of the chatroom.
After getting removed from the private chat, the man entered the chat again and threatened to kill the famous rock star, and claimed that he would see her soon. The sources have told the media outlet that Doja Cat called the police authorities and filed a report, sparking a formal investigation. At the moment, Los Angeles County Sheriff is investigating the case.
Doja Cat is well-known for having a playful relationship with her listeners. She is often seen engaging with her followers on various social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
Doja Cat clashed with a few fans in March
Earlier this month, the Boss Bitch singer clashed with a couple of fans in Paraguay after receiving backlash for canceling a show due to dangerous weather. The incident saw the light of day in March. Around the same time, she took to her Twitter page to announce that she was quitting music.
At that point, Doja also spilled the beans on the whole incident on Twitter. In a since-deleted post from that time, she wrote, “There was a storm in Paraguay, the show got canceled. When I left the next morning, there wasn’t one person outside the hotel waiting for me. Let that sink in.”
In a separate tweet, the I Don’t Do Drugs singer penned, “I regret spending all the time I did getting ready that day for the show I’ve been busting my a** every day to put on for you but god bless.”
Doja concluded by saying, “This s**t ain’t for me so I’m out. Y’all take care.” Around the same time, she changed her Twitter username to “I quit.” She even tweeted, ‘Brazil’ with multiple emojis of Brazil’s flags before changing her username to ‘I Quit.’ Later on, she returned to the app and offered an apology.
