However, there is a chance that her net worth could be much less than the estimated figure, as her family had to set up a fundraiser to support her children post her demise. The campaign aims to raise $250,000 to aid her kids’ school and college fees.

Wersching Began her Acting Career in 2002

The actress was born in 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from high school at Crossroads College Preparatory School in 1995. She then attended Millikin University and got a degree Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre in 1999. She also participated in Irish dance during her school and college.

In 2002, she started her acting career with Star Trek: Enterprise, where she guest starred in the episode Oasis. She then continued to play guest roles in a number of shows, including Birds of Prey, Frasier, Charmed, Killer Instinct, Boston Legal, Journeyman, and Supernatural. In 2007, she landed a recurring role in ABC’s soap opera General Hospital. 

Wersching played Amelia Joffe, the producer of Everyday Heroes, who helped Jason Morgan save a kidnapped child. In 2009, she appeared in her breakthrough role as FBI agent Renee Walker in Fox’s hit action drama 24. She starred in the show for two seasons and was widely appreciated for her portrayal of the tough and strong-willed agent.

The Actress was Diagnosed with Cancer in 2020

After 24, Wersching continued to make episodic appearances in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, No Ordinary Family, Body of Proof, Dallas, Revolution, and Castle. In 2012, she served as the voice and motion capture actor behind the character of Tess in the PlayStation 3 game The Last of Us.

In 2014, the actress was cast in the role of Julia Brasher in the first season of Amazon Prime’s crime show Bosch. She also played recurring roles in The Vampire Diaries, Timeless, Runaways, Blue Bloods, Major Crimes, Code Black, Out of Practice and The Rookie.

Wersching also had a couple of films to her credit, including Jim Carey starrer Bruce Almighty (2003) and Below the Beltway (2010). The star was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 but continued to work and starred as the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard in 2022. On January 29, 2023, her husband announced her death at the age of 45.
