The Real Housewives of New York City is getting a reboot and along with that new cast members of this upcoming reboot have already been revealed. The franchise premiered thirteen seasons and follows the professional and personal lives of several New York City women.
A new season is on its way. The show’s success has led to two spin-offs, Bethenny Ever After and Bethenny & Fredrik, as well as several seasons.
On March 23, 2022, it was confirmed that, in response to the thirteenth season’s poor reception, the showrunners had decided to ‘most likely’ recast the show from the ground up for the fourteenth season, and develop a second version of the series based on a number of the original housewives. Let’s take a look at the cast members.
Meet The 7 New Housewives Of Season 14
The boss said, “We talked about everything. There were people who really wanted: ‘Let’s just totally start over.’ And then there were people who were like, ‘Wait a minute, but what about this group that we’ve invested 13 years in?’ I think that’s why this is really listening to everybody.
This is a beloved show. And that’s part of the reason why it’s taken a bit for us to just sit with this and figure out how we want to make this right and make it a gift to the fans, which I think will wind up being.”
Cohen said to an outlet, “This is the most multicultural, diverse, energetic, and exciting city in America. We are searching for a multicultural group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country. We’re looking for a group of women who are real friends, and who are of diverse backgrounds, races, and religions.”
Andy also confirmed, “I hope that [fans are] happy with both. That’s all I can say. The truth of the matter is we have not spoken to any of our classic RHONY women about Legacy yet.
We really were waiting to get the RHONY reboot right, and we really wanted to tell new stories, and we wanted to capture the energy in New York City, and I’m really happy with where we’re at.” Now let’s take an in-depth look at the members.
Jenna Lyons
First and foremost, we have a designer and business personality. Lyons represented as J.Crew’s creative director and president from 2008 to 2010. After two years of decreasing sales, her dismissal from J.Crew was made public in April 2017.
The personality was nicknamed the “Woman Who Dresses America.” Lyons formed a partnership with Turner Entertainment in October 2018 for Stylish with Jenna Lyons, an unscripted reality show starring Lyons and her employees that premiered on HBO Max on December 3, 2020.
Jenna is now appearing as a member of the new rebooted season 14 cast. Currently, she is a Co-Founder and CEO of the direct-to-consumer beauty brand, LoveSeen.
Sai De Silva
The personality stated in an interview a little about herself. “My name is Sai De Silva and I’m a mother of two, lifestyle blogger, and a New York girl through and through. I started Scout The City as a fun way to document my daughter, London Scout’s, street style when she was about three, and it evolved into the digital destination it is today!
Now London is six, my son Rio just turned one, and I’m still turning 30 every year. We document our family moments on the blog, social media, and our YouTube channel, and I also talk about trends in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.
It’s been quite a long road, but the creative freedom in this profession turned out to be the niche I didn’t know I was looking for.”
She is described as “an Afro-Latina, born and raised in New York. She is the creative director of Scout the City, which originated as a passion project blog and quickly evolved into an online lifestyle destination.
Scout the City chronicles Sai’s adventures of chic parenting from her home in Brooklyn where she resides with her husband David Craig and their two children, London and Rio.”
Erin Dana Lichy
The official description of the personality reads, “She is a funny, confident, and candid New Yorker, raised in Manhattan as one of five children in a close-knit Israeli family.
A born go-getter, Erin became a real estate agent at 19 and owns her own home renovation and design firm, Homegirl. Erin’s husband is an attorney and owner of Lichy Law.
The couple shares three children together and lives in Tribeca. Erin is super sociable, loves being around others, and is always up for a good time.”
Ubah Hassan
Next, we have Ubah who is a model and philanthropist. The official description of the personality by Bravo reads, “Ubah is a Somalian model and philanthropist who moved to New York and made it her home.
At a young age, Ubah fled to Kenya with her dad and brother but later moved to Canada where she was spotted by a photographer and was subsequently signed by a modeling agency. Ubah is also an entrepreneur and the founder of UBAHHOT, a hot sauce company she built from scratch.”
Lizzy Savetsky
Bravo’s official description reads, “Lizzy is a digital influencer, activist, mom of three, and wife to plastic surgeon Dr. Ira Savetsky. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Savetsky moved to New York for college and, after a brief stint back in her home state, returned to the Big Apple.
Lizzy uses her platform to express her style, educate others on her deep-rooted beliefs, and hosts the Instagram show “Bashert,” where she is setting out to help Jewish singles find love.”
Brynn Whitfield
Brynn is described as “a brand marketing and communications professional. A cheeky trophy wife in training. Brynn has a penchant for interior design, fashion, and hosting dinner parties from her (small but mighty) West Village apartment.
Originally from a small town in the Midwest, Brynn was raised by her grandmother who taught her invaluable lessons about navigating life, owning her narrative as a biracial woman, and the true meaning of hard work.”
Jessel Taank
The description of Jessel reads, “[She] is an outgoing and unreserved fashion publicist and brand consultant, known for thinking outside the box. Jessel, who is of British-Indian descent, met her husband, financier Pavit Randhawa after they were introduced by a friend at a bar on the Lower East Side.
Romance didn’t spark immediately and they remained close friends for years before they began to date. The two married in Mexico in 2014 and have twin boys.”
According to the press release, the reboot will “run in the same social circles, thriving in one of the most diverse and electric cities in the world. From fashion and real estate to philanthropy and social influence, these women have made their mark in NYC and will now share their lives as they juggle careers, family life, and jam-packed social calendars in the city that never sleeps.”
Lastly, Season 14 filming will start this fall, with new episodes premiering in 2023. What are your thoughts on the upcoming members? You are welcome to drop your opinions in the comment section below.
