How To Find Diamonds in Minecraft? The Search is Easier Now

Oh, here you are! A diamond is on the lookout for diamonds, in Minecraft.

Many things have changed underground in Minecraft, including where the ores are situated, as well as the diamond and texture.

There is a conventional diamond door slate variant, but because diamonds are located lower in the ground, you’ll generally encounter the deep slate version.

Now that you know what to look for, where are these new fights taking place? Previously, the best diamond level was at level 12.

However, diamonds spawn from y level 14 to y level -63 in version 1.18, therefore there should be more diamond doors spawning than previously.

However, there is a catch: diamonds are now mixed in with deep slate, making mining more difficult.

But don’t worry, we’re only here to help you comprehend tasks more clearly. So there’s material ahead that will answer your queries about ‘where to find diamonds’ and is simply waiting for you to read it.

Where To Find Diamonds In Minecraft?

Finding diamonds might be confusing sometimes. But not with us.

  • To see your coordinates, press F3 and then dig down until you reach y level 5.
  • Mine 3 blocks forward now that you’ve reached y level 5, then all the blocks to your right, all the blocks above you, and all the blocks to your left.
  • Repeat until you’ve found diamonds.

Go ahead and mine diamonds once you’ve discovered them. But there’s another surprise! In Minecraft, you must press F3 + G to see chunk borders.

Then you can mine without stopping until you locate yellow lines on the other side.

There can only be one diamond vein per chunk, therefore there’s no use in seeking more diamonds until you find another chunk.

Ta-da! Now you know where to find diamonds, but do you know how to mine them? If not then, we’re going to absolutely explain this as well!

How To Mine Diamonds?

Well, you can follow the steps below.

  • Go to Y=12 and start strip mining as usual, but this time add something extra to the mix.
  • Walk ahead three blocks into your strip-mine, look left, and mine into the wall as far as you can without destroying the bottom section of the wall.
  • Then do it on your right, then strip mine three more blocks, and so on.

For me, the easiest way to find diamonds is to mine only 5 and leave the rest. It may sound time-consuming, but it isn’t; I got 43 diamonds in 20 minutes using this method.

Another tip: If you don’t have any diamonds yet, I recommend mining only 5 and leaving the rest.

Make an enchanting table and a diamond pickaxe. Then use the enchanting table to add fortune to your diamond pickaxe. If fortune does not appear on the enchanting table, do a random level 1 enchant on a book and check again.

Then go mine the diamonds you left earlier with your new fortune pickaxe. And boom, you’ve potentially doubled them, as well as future diamonds.

Diamonds, at the very least, necessitate the use of an iron pickaxe in order to be mined. As a result, gamers should make sure they have an iron pickaxe in hand by the time they uncover diamonds.

When strip mining for diamonds, it is advisable not to use an entire iron pickaxe because it may break before the diamonds are discovered.

So, have you tried any of the approaches we’ve mentioned? How did it go for you? Did you reach any diamonds? Do let us know in the comments section below.
