Instagram Down: Thousands Of User Accounts Suspended Due To Outage

Instagram’s downtime has become the norm for users. The first thing users do is go to Twitter and Google to see what’s unusual. This time, however, things are a little different.

Many users have reported that their accounts have been suspended as a result of the shutdowns. According to multiple reports, Instagram appears to be crashing, or some users’ accounts have been disabled.

Users all over the world are sharing screenshots and wondering if their accounts are safe. In addition, users received alarming notifications. Let’s look into that.

Instagram Is Down And Having Issues

Instagram is currently down for multiple users. And if you are having problems or are concerned about your account, you can contact the app’s helpline.

A large number of reports were received by Downdetector from users experiencing problems with their Instagram accounts. The detecting platform confirmed that the issues started around 13:08 GMT and are impacting users worldwide.

Many users have complained and are upset because their accounts have been eliminated. And many are complaining that they are losing followers.

And this is most likely due to the fact that many people’s accounts have been suspended. On DownDetector, over 4,000 issues have been reported and it’s increasing rapidly.

It’s Not Happening To Everyone

Not only that, but it isn’t happening to everyone. Just a bunch of users. Our Instagram account is up and running as of this writing. However, there is more negative.

Users revealed that their accounts would be suspended at the end of the day on October 31, 2022, according to early studies. Because they received this disturbing notification. The user is then given 30 days to ‘disagree with this decision.’

The whole notification reads, “We suspended your account on 31 October 2022. There are 30 days remaining to disagree with this decision.” Check out the following tweet.

Meta owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. And the last time WhatsApp crashed, now Instagram jumped on board.

Users Took This Issue On Twitter

Currently, #MyInstagram and #Instagramdown are trending on Twitter.

One user tweeted, “Did anyone else’s Instagram just get suspended for no reason? And now Instagram won’t even bother to let you appeal it just gives you an error?”

Another user tweeted, “It’s me trying to figure out why Instagram suspended my Account.”

One user said, “This is shocking. Instagram randomly decided to suspend my account. The account never had a single issue in all these years I’m using it and now suddenly it’s suspended.”

There are memes all over Twitter on this issue.

Another user said they can’t get their account back. “This is the scariest thing to happen today lol. Imagine waking up then you go to check Instagram and you’re greeted with a screen saying your account has been deactivated. And you can’t get it back either. Happy Halloween y’all stay safe!”

Currently, the company has not issued a statement on this matter, and it is likely that they are working to identify it. In the meantime, you’re welcome to stay tuned with us for more updates on this issue. Is your account also suspended?
