When did Mark Wahlberg buy the Beverly Hills property?

The Daddy’s Home 2 actor purchased the Beverly Hills mansion for $8.25 million in 2009. He finished the construction of the house in the year 2014. Famous architect Richard Landry designed the chateau-style property. In the past, he also built Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s former Brentwood mega mansion, now owned by rapper Dr. Dre.

The property also features a two-story entry lobby, and a bridal staircase, along with formal living and dining rooms. On the other hand, when we shed some light on the primary suite, it contains a fireplace, a private balcony, and dual baths and closets.

When it comes to the main level, a two-story wood-paneled library includes a fireplace and chandelier. The house has a gourmet kitchen which comes with two islands and a separate prep kitchen.

Other amenities present in the Beverly Hills estate are as follows: a home theater, a professional gym, and a wine and cigar cellar. In addition to this, the grounds have a 5-hole golf course, a golf driving range, a skate park, a sports court, a resort-like grotto pool, and a guest house.

Mark was represented by Carl Gambino of Compass, meanwhile, the buyer was represented by Ginger Glass, also with Compass. As of this moment, Compass has not made an official comment on the sale of the property.

Why has Mark Wahlberg sold his Beverly Hills estate?

The Mile 22 actor and his family have decided to move away from Hollywood’s epicenter, so he thought selling the Beverly Hills mansion would be a good idea. During an October interview with The Talk, he stated that he and his family have exchanged California for Nevada.

At that time, Mark told the media outlet that he hoped to lobby for tax credits to “build a state-of-the-art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0.” He further added, “I want to be able to work from home.”
