During her latest interview with Extra, the Open Book author talked about her amazing weight loss and she went on to say that she was able to lose 100 pounds with the help of a nutritionist.

Jessica told the media outlet that the key secret to her weight loss was her changed diet and lifestyle. She further added, “I went to a nutritionist, and I needed to get my eating habits right.”

The When You Told Me You Loved Me singer stated that she feels healthy since shedding those extra pounds and getting fit and back in good shape.

Simpson continued, “I feel like my old self before I had children and all the hormones going wild. I feel younger, actually. I have a lot more energy and yeah, I get to wear all the clothes that are in storage that I saved for Maxwell and Birdie. Maybe Birdie will outgrow them because Maxwell has already outgrown me!”

Jessica threw out her scale after years of weight loss transformation

Yes, you read that right. In an earlier interaction with Today, Simpson who shares Maxwell, 10, Ace, 9, and Birdie, 3, with husband Eric Johnson disclosed that she threw out her scale after years of fluctuating weight and body image concerns.

In an April interview with Today,  the I Wanna Love You Forever singer said, “I threw it out.” She joked around and went on to say, that it was like having an Ouija board in church and added, “[I have] no idea how much I weigh.”

The mom of three stated that after putting the scale away, she learned to love her body in every size. She also talked about her kids and continued, “I always celebrate my body. The fact that it made children is unreal.”

Jessica went on to say, “but you just don’t ever think you’re going to fit back into things. It’s crazy. A woman’s body is phenomenal in what it can do.”
