What is the movie ‘Blonde’ all about?

For those of you who are unaware, let us tell you, Netflix’s new film Blonde is a psychological biographical fiction drama film that has been written and directed by Andrew Dominik.

The movie chronicles the life and the untimely death of American actress and cultural icon Marilyn Monroe. The movie stars Ana de Armas in the main role. Along with her, it also stars Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, and Julianne Nicholson.

A large portion of the movie Blonde has been presented in black and white, on the other hand, some portions are set in color. The world premiere of the film took place at the 79th Venice Film Festival on September 8, 2022.

The movie Blonde had a limited theatrical release in the United States on September 16, 2022. The film dropped on Netflix on September 28, 2022. Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon, Brad Pitt, and Scott Robertson served as producers for the film.

Did Marilyn Monroe have any kids?

The answer to the above question is a no. Throughout the course of her short life, Marilyn Monroe did not have any children. Despite the fact, that she was married thrice during her life, she didn’t have any kids.

At first, the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes star tied the knot with Los Angeles Police Department policeman James Dougherty. The pair got married in 1942 when he was 21 and she was 16. The pair got divorced in 1946.

Then, Marilyn went on to marry former New York Yankees baseball player Joe DiMaggio. The couple said their vows on January 14, 1954, at San Francisco City Hall after a romance of two years. The two of them decided to go their separate ways in October of the same year. Their divorce got finalized in October of 1955.

Lastly, the I Want To Be Loved By You singer got married to Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Arthur Miller. The pair walked down the aisle on June 29, 1956. They parted ways on November 11, 1960, and got divorced on January 20, 1961.

Marilyn did not have any kids from her three relationships. Sadly, the Hollywood actress passed away on August 4, 1962, at the age of 36. As per the coroner’s toxicology report, she died from a barbiturate overdose at her home in Los Angeles.

Marilyn Monroe had several miscarriages

Yes, you read that right. Throughout her life, the As Young as You Feel actress had a couple of miscarriages. According to the reports in the Biography, Marilyn suffered not one or two miscarriages but she had a total of three miscarriages.

It has been reported by the media outlet, that all the miscarriages of Marilyn Monroe saw the light of the day when she was married to her third and final husband Arthur Miller. As per various reports, she had her first miscarriage in September of 1956.

Then after a while, the How to Marry a Millionaire actress lost an ectopic pregnancy in August of 1957. Let us share with you, ectopic pregnancy is a type of pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, most commonly in the fallopian tube.

Soon afterward, Marilyn had another miscarriage in December of 1958. Many reports have also stated that Monroe used to consume drugs and alcohol on a daily basis and she blamed herself for her inability to carry a child.

Marilyn’s alleged pregnancy photos also surfaced at one point

Back in the day, Monroe’s alleged pregnancy pictures also surfaced at one point. In the year 2017, a collection of never seen photos of Marilyn Monroe was released. Some photos from the collection showed The Seven Year Itch star with a baby bump. It seemed like she was in the early stages of her pregnancy.

In the photos of Marilyn Monroe which were taken by her good friend and photographer Frieda Hull in New York, she can be seen all dolled up in a beige blouse and a matching skirt. What caught the attention of the eagle-eyed fans was her visible baby bump.

In the pictures, Marilyn kept her blonde tresses loose and she parted her hair to the side. She topped off her look with her signature red lipstick. One of the photos showed Marilyn posing for the camera while playing with her tongue.

According to various reports, Marilyn’s pictures were taken in July of 1960, which was two years after she had her last marriage in the year 1958. It has been reported by Daily Mail, that the snaps were taken on July 8, 1960, outside Fox Studios in New York after she finished her costume and hair tests for her film The Misfits. Along with Marilyn, the movie also starred Clark Gable, and Montgomery Clift.

It seems like her alleged pregnancy took place while she was married to her third husband Arthur Asher Miller. Up until now, it is not clear who was the father or if the pictures that were released were even real or not.

Marilyn Monroe’s pictures were sold after she passed away

As per the reports of Daily Mail, when Marilyn Monroe died in August of 1962 at her Los Angeles home, the never seen photos of the Hollywood star were sold as part of her estate.

Then, the pregnancy pictures of Marilyn went up for sale through the memorabilia company Moments in Time. Tony Michaels who was a close friend of Frieda Hull bought the pictures at the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ Marilyn Memorabilia Auction held by Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles.
