Jerry grew up in Manhattan with his younger brother Charlie O’Connell, who is also an actor by profession. He went to Manhattan’s Professional Children’s School. Then, he studied screenwriting at New York University from 1991 to 1995. He graduated in the year 1995.

How did Jerry O’Connell meet his wife Rebecca Romijn?

Jerry and Rebecca met each for the first time at a Maxim Hot 100 party in Las Vegas in the year 2004. At that point in time, Romijn was newly single. While guest-hosting The Wendy Williams Show in 2019, O’Connell recalled the first meeting of the pair.

Then, The Secret: Dare to Dream star said, “Rebecca was in the VIP section of the party and I was not. I saw you in the VIP section and you were newly single and I was like, ‘I got to get some of that, right there.'”

Jerry went on to say, “It was a pool party, so I took my shirt off, I did some pushups right there and got some oil. I was super flexing. I had met my wife once before that at the time. But through the rope I was like, ‘Hey, Rebecca!'”

Once, Jerry got past the rope, the duo spoke and they exchanged their numbers. Rebecca who joined O’Connell on the show further added, “We had a couple dates in Las Vegas and then I flew home and I needed a ride home from the airport. And I called Jerry and he drove me home and basically never left.”

Yes, you read that right. Earlier this year in July, Jerry and Rebecca celebrated 15 years of marital bliss. This year, the pair celebrated their wedding anniversary in Istanbul, Turkey. At that point in time, they marked the special milestone with sweet tributes on their respective social media handles. O’Connell wished his wife Rebecca a happy marriage anniversary by posting a cute pic of the two lovebirds in the sea.

“15 Years Today! This one puts up with my Mommy Issues, cheapness and is infinitely out of my league. INFINITELY. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Love ya, Babe!” he wrote alongside a beautiful picture of the pair.

On the other hand, when we talk about Rebecca, she also dropped a series of pictures of herself and her husband Jerry on the social media platform Instagram.

Romijn penned a heartfelt caption for the Instagram post that read, “Still smiling after all these years. Happy 15th Anniversary @mrjerryoc Love you!!”
